Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Great golf course
I’ve been playing here for years never disappointed the course is in great condition,
The greens are fast, and cart girl is very pretty.
Great layout
A well manicured track with a thoughtful layout. Nugent did really well to protect this place against bigger hitters with the bunkering, fairway runout and hazards. Yet it's still not overly penal. Played with another single in just over three hours as the fourth group off that morning. Will definitely be back.
woman in the pro shop needs better customer service skills
This is a great place to play golf the only complaint I have is the woman in the pro shop needs better customer service skills she acts like she owns the course or she is the drill Sargent and the customers are her troops. I asked about going off of the front 9 first but she wanted me to go off the back 9 when they had a large league that just went off kind in mind I am playing by myself she replied that's just how we do things here and that only one group was out on the front 9 but they paid extra for that privilege. This place needs to work on the pace of play and someone like a marshall or a starter on the golf course physically.
Great shape
Course was in excellent shape.
The only thing I would question would be the placement of some of the cups on the green. Some were about 4 feet from the edge on an uphill slope. Not cool.
Also setting up one of the tree b boxes facing a tree is a bit unusual.
Overall the course was in great shape and well manicured. Great course! Keep it up!!
Very Nice Course
Very well maintained, Challenging but fair..Fun to play.
Enjoyed my round
First time playing this course and enjoyed the round. I will be back to play it again
Wont be back due to poorly communicated cart GPS limitations
Carts have super-irritating lock-out functions that take over anytime they want and course did an EXTREMELY POOR job of communicating where the lockouts could occur -- ESPECIALLY over 50 feet from the green in the 18th fairway. or in the area of the underpass between holes 13 & 14 where the unposted speed limit is 9, but the GPS cant decide if you are going 7 or 11.
