Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Greens are Tough
Great course with excellent personnel and the best safety guide lines for COVID that I have seen yet. Pin placement was impossible today with hard greens and slopes. Fairways are excellent and grass around greens still coming in. Nice layout on course with a mix of short holes and longer holes but don't be fooled by the distance because if you do not stay in front of pins 4 putts are standard. All in all great course for the money paid
The greens are HORRIBLE!
I've played this course many times since I started golfing. These were not some of, but THE WORST greens I've played on this year by far. They need to be addressed NOW! I will most likely not play here again unless they do something soon, this season.
Tough Course and Greens
This course is close to where I live, but only my second time playing it, and I was quickly reminded of why when I managed to lose a few balls a start high on the first 2 holes. That being said, it was a great value for what we paid. I can't remember if they had the screens on the carts last year, but that's always a nice touch. No cart on a Thursday afternoon in April, but the bar took care of us on the turn. Nothing bad to say about the course. Just a unique layout that's tight at times and the greens were fast with very tricky pin placement.
Fair Test
Bridges of Poplar Creek plays longer than it is; with undulating greens that put great demand on precise approach shot location. Stay below the hole to score. Play was unfortunately slow, maybe in part due to the windy conditions. All in all a fair test and good value.
Great course
Good course to work all clubs. Enjoyed myself very much. I come here often its my homecourse.
Great Afternoon
Had a great time. Pair up with real friendly people and enjoyed the round.
First time playing here since new design
Played from tees about 6,000 yards. I haven’t played here in over 10 years. A more challenging and water guarded layout than before. Fairway bunkers come into play. Also used driving iron on few holes that are tight with hazards. This track is well played and worn, like most course in the Midwest right now. Looks like they were fertilizing a lot of old divots on the green. we enjoyed the course and staff was friendly. We will likely be back.

Nice to be able to play Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago
