Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Playing the bridges
Well it is kind of early in the year but course is going to be in great shape.
Course has gone downhill
This course was my home track back in high school (class of 2004) and used to be kept up very well. I had not played here in awhile and was disappointed. The round took 5 hours and greens were scuffed up all over the place. I was fortunate to not have to hit in the drop area but my buddies lost extra strokes and balls hitting off of them. I surveyed it and it’s basically grass seed on top of sand traps. The super must have a good laugh watching guys hit off of it. Too bad but this course was a joke.
Course has turned into a DOGTRACK!!!!
I’ve played poplar 10-20 the past few years and it seems to continue to get worse. The greens were beat up with holes, sandy spots and divots galore. I have always know this course to be outrageously priced for what you get, but at least it was well kept. It is no longer well kept and I would not even play this course again for the $30 I paid over the weekend. All summer they charged $60-80 a person, why haven’t they used that money to take care of the place? You will not be getting my money again.
Course Condition Excellent & Great Value for money
Great staff , Great course , Great value for the money , Great Conditin , & Excellent layout .
Nice day for golf
Mostly a last minute try on a new course. Played with my GF who likes golf but needs a somewhat forgiving course. This has lots of forced caries over water. If played to plan and good with your mid irons not a problem. Otherwise bring lots of balls. Because of this she played her best round ever. Think it helped her concentrate more with all the OB trouble. Nice greens. Decent fairways. Decent sand in bunkers. Tee boxes a little worn. Overall a nice course and we got a great deal on Golf Now. Give it a try.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Course conditions.
The Tees, Fairways & Greens were in very good shape. The Beverage cart girl was by every 3-4 holes. Going out we made the turn in 2:05. Which was great for a Sunday! Coming in (2:30) was another story. We caught a 4-some on 11 playing the Blacks, they should have been on Gold or Greens. There was a full hole open in front of them. We waited on every shot on the way in. The pin placements didn't help. But, we will certainly consider playing here again during the week.
Good Course, Good Value
Course was in very good shape, staff was very friendly and helpful. Carts with GPS is a great feature. Golfer courtesy of repairing ball marks on greens is not the best. Since it was Monday and/or Labor Day each paid round came with a Hot Dog/Brat and drink - nice add-on. Overall could not ask for more.
u418242563 - Thank you for reviewing the Bridges of Poplar Creek. Our Monday Madness promotion is a very popular one with our guests! We apologize for the amount of ball marks on the greens. We try our best to encourage golfers to respect thier fellow golfer and act with courtesy.
tough on a windy day
course was very tough on a windy day especially the first few holes water and correct shots are a must to keep ball in play. I got beat on the front nine by the course but turned it around on the back nine even par. for a reasonable round. Almost feel the course should be the opposite so you can warm up to the front nine which by far is the hard side.
Grumpy starter
Right from the beginning there was a delay. It continued throughout the round. Very frustrating. The starter was a very unhappy man who acted more like a drill sergeant. He doesn't represent your facility well at all. Despite all that, the course is very nice and kept fairly well.
Thank you for taking the time to review your round at Bridges of Poplar Creek. We are saddened to hear about your negative experience. I would like to discuss your round in more depth. Please contact me directly at 847-781-3660 or dkrzepicki@heparks.org - Thanks, David Krzepicki, Golf Operations Manger.

Good day
Course was nice and challenging. Clubhouse guy was very helpful. Had a cousin in from out of town. Which he let him hit some balls with house clubs till I got there. We will be back.

The course is well maintained and challenging enough for us.
80 degrees in Chicago and we only seen cart girl on hole 17,. This forces golfers to bring there on booze!
Nice course
Course was in great shape, probably should remind people to repair ball marks on greens. Overall a good experience plenty of trouble with water bon many holes.
