Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Great, fun 18 hole course.
We played 18 holes for $30 (Fall rates) with cart. Can't complain. A few holes with water and a bunch of par 4s. Enjoyed my time.
This course has tricky creeks in some holes.
Challenging course. Either biginners or advanced players can enjoy this course.
Decent but will limit my play there
The staff wasn't friendly, course management was poor. Sunset at 6 PM, I had a 1:37 PM tee time, got there around 1 PM and then I'm told they're running 30 minutes behind schedule. Staff didn't care and didn't show any willingness to want to help. Many customers left, giving up their tee times. Course moved really slow, over 2:30 for the front nine. Course was in decent shape except tee boxes. None were even. On some, the ball was 2 inches below my feet and others 2 inches above. Leaves everywhere and some fairways were a little beat up.
Good value for the money
Good value for the money. It seems as though it may back up if there are a lot of golfers.
best for the buck
Great course for the beginner to the advance golfer. I will golf there again
Play can be slow.Rough and difficult holes slow down play.
Not one of my personal favorites. Slow play can be frustrating. Greens are inconsistent with undulations and pitch.
Great Hot Deal
I tracked this deal for two days before the tee time and and got a great deal the day of the tee time ($25). Facility has a nice practice area. Front and back sides setup quite a bit differently. Course is well maintained and greens putt true.
