Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

nice course tucked away where you really don't notice all the comotions that is present around you
I would recomend this course for any type of golfer. The course was well kept / managed. There are all types of hazards to avoid from the tight faiways, bunkers, to all the water on the course. You will need to hit it straight on a few holes. A+
All hole has different features. Pretty enjoyable.
I been this course a few times a year. I been enjoyed.
Great play for the price.
Course was in the best shape I've ever seen it (last played in 2011). Only negative is Sand Traps could actually use some sand added. Too thin, causing inconsistent results when swing out of traps.
good lay out...short but tough if you play from the tips.
started at 315pm and finished at 715 with sunlight to spare.
Course is beautiful
Course is really groomed well and very well kept... Nice clubhouse and bathrooms throughout the course.
The slooooowest round of golf ever played...
We were delayed 30 mins just to tee off, then ended up sitting at each tee box for 5-10 mins waiting for the groups ahead of us to finish a hole. We only saw one ranger the entire 5 hours we were out there, and when we did see one it was on hole 16 and he said our pace was normal and do anything after we expressed our displeasure with the pace of the groups ahead of us or the fact that the 3 some behind us hit into our group 4 different times, landing only feet behind or AHEAD of us!
Other than the super slow pace and marshals no where to be found, the course was in good condition and was quite challenging for only being 6,500 yards from the tips.
Did not standout in any particular way
Course was well-maitained and the layout was challenging (lots of serious doglegs).
Challenging and fun
This is a course that requires you to think before hitting.
Course is in great shape and very enjoyable.
simple course
This cousre is a lot better since the renovations but still just comes across as plain old course.
Course is not long. 6100 yrds from the black/gold combination.
You will use different clubs off many of the tees which is nice. Greens in great shape and have many undulations.
Not bad
A few of the tee boxes needed to be moved. They were pretty roughed up. Same thing with the pin placements.
Poor service, slow play, and terrible range conditions hamper this nice layout
The layout of the course is challenging and provides a test for golfers of all skill levels, but I was really disappointed with the overall experience at the Bridges of Poplar Creek. The staff was the definition of dismissive, offering very little insight into the layout, or conditions, and seemed indifferent to my questions. The pace of play - even for a Sunday - was incredibly slow, with nary a ranger is sight. And the range may be the worst conditioned I've ever practiced on - there was virtually no grass at all, anywhere, only sand. Sadly, because, again, the layout is nice, I won't be returning.
Great manicured course for the decent ball striker
Got an afternoon round on sale for $30 - incredible value for the course you will play. Well manicured and taken care of. Lots of 360-380 yd par 4's so you will hit a lot of 3 woods bc of hazards running across fairways - like I said - makes you play a disciplined round with good ball striking. We got rained out after 11 holes but they gave us half our money back as a credit toward a future round there...would definitely play again.
nice traget golf course
good greens great carts with gps touch screen one staff guy a little cranky but over all good time
This course has great feature
Golfnow online price was $30 but They charge $35
becose of hot dog and drink .
They shuld put $35 online price Golfnow
very nice course. water and bunkers make it challenging. length is adequate
very well maintained. a must play for anyone who can keep it in the fairway
Excellent course for the price!
This course was in great condition, greens were challenging. Your approach shot is key here due to difficult contoures of many greens. It's not a long course so it makes club selection on the tee box crucial.
5 Hours and 15 min round!
Tuesday afternoon round that took over 5 hours. The ranger kept telling us there was an outing ahead of us which is why it was slow! More than a few times I noticed 2 full holes open in front of the outing and the ranger did nothing to move the people along.
An outing is not an excuse to not maintain pace of play!
