Schaumburg Golf Club - Players/Baer Course

About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Always in Great Condition
Always in great condition and they have as much play as any course
Everything here top notch ( I work in the golf business)
They take pace of play seriously

Always in great condition
9:30 tee time. Played in 4:15 a little slow
Course is always in great condition
Very Nice Course
I’m a new golfer and haven’t been to many courses, so my opinions are limited. The course was well maintained, the scenery was great, and as a beginner I loved the wide fairways. There weren’t too many water hole challenges, which is good for a novice, but there are plenty of sand traps, which was great. My only real complaint was that the signage for the 3 courses is very poor. I played the Tournament course, and when we got through with hole 7 we had a heck of a time finding hole 8. That was the most memorable shortfall for signs, but there were other small ones. Other than that I really enjoyed the course.
Great Value Course - Super conditions for amount of play
First time playing here. Fabulous golf course. Finished in exactly 4:10 on a busy Tuesday afternoon. Definitely need to play here more than once to understand the green complexes. Only complaint is the amount of ball marks over all the greens. I know the course can't do anything about lazy patrons. Will definitely be back.
Great course, always in good shape
Schaumburg is always in great shape and the fact that they have 27 holes available and switch around the courses for 9 and 18 hole rounds, makes sure it never gets boring. It offers just the right amount of challenge with enough hazards, elevation change and difficult pin placements to keep you on your toes. And they actually water their greens! The restaurant is also way better than it has any right to be at a golf course. The prices are great and the food is outstanding.
Nice course, good conditions
Nice course, well groomed, good conditions. We played 9 holes in the players course. Play was a little slow but was probably because of the heat. (Heat index close to 100) Recommend this course. Just wish they had more green fees specials.
General Superintendent and his staff did excellent work getting course in shape to play after rain storms
Played 9 holes great layout
I really enjoyed. My 9 hole round on the players course . It's newly renovated and they did a great job on it.
I got a great value with a golfnow hotdeal thanks!
