About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Wonderful Course To Play In The Fall
Annbriar is a top notch golf course. An excellent course to play your fall/winter golf. The course is beautiful with dormant fairway zoysia grass contrasting with the lush green grass of the rough. The greens are in outstanding shape. There was nothing to complain about at this course. One of the best in the St. Louis Metro area.

The gentleman behind counter let us go out as a twosome even though we booked HD that was filled by another twosome. The course had alot of openings around our time,. It was first class service to be offered that without asking. Pevely crew, men and women, thank you for a great time. Looking forward to another round in the very near future.

Beautiful Course In November
With the zoysia grass just going dormant, the striking contrast of the yellow/brown fairways and the lush green rough - is strikingly beautiful! Just a wonderful course to play even in the off-season. There was nothing to complain about, playing this course in early November.
The greens were in great shape. Not overly fast but nice to putt on. The greens were more firm than I could ever remember.
I noticed they gave the actual smokehouse (logo for Annbriar), a fresh coat of red paint. Looks great and matches the starter's pavilion perfectly.
They have an attractive $45 greens fee for a weekday rate. If you want to play some fall golf - Annbriar is the place to go.

Beautiful fall colors
Course was in great condition for mid October and the fall colors were coming out in the trees. I played as a single and finished in about 2 and a half hours. The fairways were still very nice and greens were amazing. This is one of the best courses in the greater stl area in my opinion.
could use 2 rakes in larger sand bunkers as opposed to one.

NEXT LEVEL
My Brother flew in and we had a 2 day 2 course a day run.
Played Crescent Farms/Pevely farms day 1. Gateway/Annbriar Day 2.
In those respective orders. He has played TPC courses, Pinehurst courses, and other major popular courses, belongs to Taconic in Mass.
and without hesitation said for the Value this is the best course he has played!!!!!
I play here once a week or so, he is NOT wrong. The only gripe I ever have is update the Bathrooms, and he agreed. It seems small but that little fix, makes the memory whole!

Sloooooest round ever!!!!!
This was the slowest round of golf I’ve ever played. Teed off at 1:15 p.m.,at 5:05 we sat waiting to tee off at 14 for over 15 minutes. These guys wouldn’t clear the green until all 4 balls were putted in the cup! No marshall’s anywhere and not only were these guys slow but there was a 5 some group ahead of them! We didn’t finish the round and left with 4 to go. The only positive was the round was $29.00. It will be a heck of a long time before we come back, if ever. For such a premier course to let this go on is ridiculous.

Great Course but far drive
This course is great. In excellent condition greens roll true. But this course is really far from St. Louis and you shouldn’t drive out to it. You have to drive through East Louis and you could get car jacked. Go play Forest Park or something else. Not worth the risk maybe just stay home.
