About

Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

SLOWEST IN ALL THE LAND

Love the course, but never have I ever had a round here be 4:30 or less. No pace enforcement ever.

Back 9 Slow Down

I’m not sure why but frequently I play the front in 2 hours and the back takes 3. Perhaps the layout or lack of ranger to speed up play. Otherwise a fine course in good shape.

Always Nice

Annbriar is always in good shape and is one of the best in the St. Louis area. Greens were firm and fast, fairways are lush and the staff is friendly.

Wait at least a week

They have had a tremendous amount of rain and the greens are still recovering from punching. The course was a swamp, the rough is 6" thick due to rain and the greens are bumpy and very slow as they haven't come back yet after aerating. I would wait at least a week if you want better conditions.

The Best Course In The St. Louis Metro Area

It is always a treat to play Annbriar. Everyone is friendly and you feel so welcome here. The coures has wonderful design and is always in good shape.

They have renovated the restrooms that were getting outdated. The new renovations look great.

Get out and play Annbriar. You won't be disappointed.
