About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Challenging but a fun course.

Always enjoyable playing Annbriar. For January the course was in great shape.

The course was wet, but in good shape overall for January. Annbriar is definitely one of my favorite courses in the STL area.
Course layout and condition
The course layout is fantastic. There are no homes or other structures around the course. It is great to play golf and spend time with mother nature. The tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers are always in great shape. A very enjoyable experience.

Country Club Conditions and Staff
We have a group that plays here weekly. The condition of the course is as good, if not superior, to Country Clubs in our area.
The staff is always friendly and so helpful.
Every time we play, we remark among ourselves as to what superb shape the course is in. They ALWAYS have staff working on the course when we play………fixing and raking bunkers, etc.

Best golf course in the Midwest
Have played this course many, many times and it just gets better with age. The front nine allows one to ease into the round with forgiving fairways. The back nine is through the woods with elevated tee boxes and stunning views. Few courses provide this much value and fun for a very affordable price. Special place!
Poor drainage
It rained lightly the day prior to playing. The course was so wet in nearly every fairway and on every tee box that the course was hardly playable.

Another Enjoyable Day At Annbriar
When we arrived, we knew there would be a frost delay. The individual gave us an update and told us we could go into the restaurant until it got nearer to when we could go out. He visited us in the restuarant and gave us another update. Excellent customer service which Annbriar always has.
The course is in excellent condition for mid-November. Always a pleasure to play this course.
Excellent layout
Everything was immaculate. The fairways were beautiful and the greens were perfect and consistent. Pace of play was a little slow, but it was a beautiful day, so I didn’t mind. We will definitely play here again.

Wonderful Course To Play In The Fall
Annbriar is a top notch golf course. An excellent course to play your fall/winter golf. The course is beautiful with dormant fairway zoysia grass contrasting with the lush green grass of the rough. The greens are in outstanding shape. There was nothing to complain about at this course. One of the best in the St. Louis Metro area.
