About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Course Conditions
Visiting St Louis, will always put this course on the rotation.
Tees boxes were a little firm, fairways were best in area, greens were excellent, bunkers were ok.
Rough was excellent, but challenging.

Kudos To The Annbriar Greenskeeper
We have been going through a heat wave in St. Louis and the day we played was 104 degrees. Greens in the St. Louis area do not do well with this type of heat. When I arrived at Annbriar, the greens were the best they have been all year. I could not believe how good they were. There was not a blemish on any of the greens from the heat. Kudos to their greenskeeper.
With the heat, they had extra water jugs on the course, even one by the practice green. The beverage cart was seen by us at least 3-4 times. To add another touch of class that only Annbriar can, they had an employee coming around to offer cold towels on the course.
For $70, you will not find a better golf course at this price in the St. Louis area. The service in the restaurant was outstanding also.

Never a bad day
By far, the best course in the metro area. Conditions are always perfect, staff is friendly and layout is beautiful. I’m always anxiously looking forward to my next chance to play Annbriar

Best Course Around!
I've always heard Annbriar was one of the best courses in the St. Louis area. I finally got a chance to play yesterday and it didn't disappoint. We played 18 for only $46 and the course was in immaculate condition, which was surprising considering the extreme heat we have recently experienced. I was expecting to pay in the $60-70 range to play this course. Great value!

One Of The Best Courses In The St. Louis Area
If visiting the St. Louis area, you must include Annbriar of courses you must play. The course gets 5 stars in everything they do. Course conditions & layout, friendliness, pace of play and value for the course you are playing. We played on a Tuesday at a rate of $47. It doesn't get any better than this for the quality of golf course you are playing.
The service we received in the restaurant was outstanding. They are making renovations to theiir starter area by the area where the carts are staged. The old canopy has been reomoved and a larger section of concrete will be poured.
Only have one recommendation I have. They need to have different color flags to indicate front. middle and back locations.

Amazing course
I can’t wait to play again. Pace of play was a little slow to be fair two of my group were contributors. The course is fantastic! I will play Annbriar as much as my wallet will allow!

Great conditions and fantastic layout
The course was in amazing condition and I loved the layout. The holes are challenging but not so much to make a beginner like myself to get easily frustrated while still offering a challenge to a more experienced golfer. My only complaint would be that there were no water stations especially since it was quite hot and the beverage cart stopped after about 3 o’clock. But overall great course and am already looking forward to playing again.

Great Course Layout
Solid Round of golf outside slower greens to protect the grass. Highly recommend if looking for a good challenge!
