About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Still amazing but No Water and Slow Pace of Play
In 90 degree temps, there should be water stations through out the course but there was none except for the only one inside the clubhouse. Also, no way to get water as we only saw the beer cart once at the very beginning of the round. Also the pace of play was terrible. There were several groups slowing a number of us that added a good hour plus to the round. Otherwise, this course is my favorite to play in STL area.

Parched
Never saw the drink girl after the tenth hole. It was a hot day and I was drinking water and Gatorade but never saw the drink girl again after about 2 o’clock. Other than that good course.

Awesome Course
Visiting the area and I am glad I made the choice to play this course. Great layout, tees, fairways and greens were in great shape considering the rain the area received recently. Played with a gentleman and his son, and they made it just as fun. Staff was awesome as well.
Only negative was the heat/humidity.

One of the Best Tracks
This is always one of the cleanest courses in my rotation of playing. The course isn't the hardest but definitely isn't a easy track to play. I absolutely love the layout and design. I'll definitely be back out again before the end of the year.

Course Conditions
Visiting St Louis, will always put this course on the rotation.
Tees boxes were a little firm, fairways were best in area, greens were excellent, bunkers were ok.
Rough was excellent, but challenging.

Kudos To The Annbriar Greenskeeper
We have been going through a heat wave in St. Louis and the day we played was 104 degrees. Greens in the St. Louis area do not do well with this type of heat. When I arrived at Annbriar, the greens were the best they have been all year. I could not believe how good they were. There was not a blemish on any of the greens from the heat. Kudos to their greenskeeper.
With the heat, they had extra water jugs on the course, even one by the practice green. The beverage cart was seen by us at least 3-4 times. To add another touch of class that only Annbriar can, they had an employee coming around to offer cold towels on the course.
For $70, you will not find a better golf course at this price in the St. Louis area. The service in the restaurant was outstanding also.
