Cresta Verde Golf Club

Had a great golfing. The course was perfect nicely taken care of for a midweek golf game. We were not rushed and everyone move along well. For the price it was perfect.

Its a old course with personality. For $50 on Saturday morning its a good deal. The course needs repairs for sure. My sons and I had a great time it is a relaxing atosmphere.

Keep your play in the fairway course plays well. Couple of holes have dirt areas. Well bring a piece of artificial grass with us.

We played early on a Wednesday morning with a 6 am tee time. After the first hole, we encountered a problem. The sprinklers were running on approx. 14 of the next 17 holes. The sprinklers covered the tee boxes and most of the fairway areas. On many of the holes, we had to ride most of the way up the fairway to hit our first shot. We ended up getting soaking wet. It wasn't much fun. I mentioned the situation to the gentleman in the club house who indicated that they were watering early in the mornings especially after punching the fairways. We wondered if they were just understaffed. A few months ago we encountered a similar problem on the course where we had to skip some holes because the sprinklers were running in the morning.

The fairways were not well managed. The greens were more bumpy than a teen boy's face. The sprinklers were still on. They had a tournament kind of playing. This round would have been fine if we hadn't paid enough money to play a managed, ell kept course.

I don't believe this is the fault of the employees either. I'm of the perspective that this is a failure on the ownership's part to fund a respectable effort to maintain a beautiful course, worth someone's hard earned money. I work hard for my funds, and I will be taking them elsewhere now.

Unlike many courses at the moment the greens aren’t punched.
