Cresta Verde Golf Club

I use to hate this course. I couldn’t break 80. It took me 20 rounds to break 80. Course management is key and you don’t need to hit Driver. Especially on hole # 16. That hole is a trap. It’s average / course condition is average / price is fantastic. We get a deal : group discount. I play it 2-3x a week. It’s fun golf !! 7 out of 10. Eagle Glenn 9 out of 10. Dos Lagos 8+ out of 10. Journey penchanga 10 out of 10. Red hawk 9+ out of 10. But those course are twice as much in $$. You get what you pay for.

Great day of golf by myself because my partner went home. Always a fun course and consistently tough. People allowed me to play through which was super nice of them. 10/10 will play again

First time playing this course, pace of play was really slow. Good thing 4some in front of us let us play through but the foursome in front of them was behind 3 or 4 holes. So we skipped a hole and finished in 3 hrs. Which is great but it was just myself and my son.

Another problem was the 2 some behind us, they were driving the cart almost to the green not in 1 hole but almost all the holes.

Condition of the course was not bad except for people that don’t know how the game should be played. Be more considerate and know the game.

Not a bad golf course for your money. Some greens and fairways are poorly maintained.

However, it looks like this place do not follow Covid guidelines as golf cart was not cleaned properly (still saw a lot of eaten sunflower seeds on the seat and in the dashboard/cup holder area). Some of the staff outside did not wear masks and did not follow social distancing.

But to top it all off, we had a unpleasant interaction with an Asian lady staff that came up to us while we were in our carts. She was NOT wearing a mask and was yelling at us for bringing a cooler and was less than one foot away from our faces... WITHOUT A MASK.

I understand we were in the wrong from bringing a cooler even though it was close to 100 degrees today, but the way that staff handled that situation was terrible and shows that this golf course has no class. I just thought there was a better way to handle the situation. We were having a good time at the course but that interaction left a bad taste in the mouth.

Had a blast. Better than expected conditions. Great price for under 30 bucks. Pace of play was fantastic. The course is really hard though. A ton of blind approach shots. You'll need to drive up on 11 to make sure you won't kill anybody before hitting your approach. Tons of tight fairways and elevated greens. Try to play with a local or else you'll need to play a few times to shoot anywhere close to your handicap.

This is a good value course -- good for working on your game -- Staff is great

This summer was the first time we have played here since December. The fairways were a little sparse.

The tee boxes were a bit beat up. The Greens were very PLUSH. They were also a bit slow. Really fun morning.

We played in about 2 hours and 30 minutes for a twosome. Great fun!

Love this course. Not fancy, but friendly. For the money, can’t beat it. Always enjoy my time here!

I found this course pretty difficult but in a fun way. It was challenging with the elevation changes. They mix up a few really fun Par 3s in there . I will be back!!

I was surprised I never played this course in my life. The greens were in great shape and the pace of life play was just right . Great value for the money! Played twice this week and will go back again very soon

Haven't played in few years course in excellent shape for the cost.

Simple layout, don’t be a hero and you’ll score well.. hit driver and face the fact you may score higher than you want.

Greens are in good shape. Fairways generally OK, a few areas of rough dirt. Fairways near the greens are fine. Some awry shots that go up or down hillsides don't leave a playable option.

Hadn't played Cresta Verde in years due to very poor conditions years ago - heard things were better so gave it a try. Actually the course is in much improved shape and pace of play was fine.

My issue was a serious lack of covid concern at the club and the customers there- we got paired with another twosome and they had no masks and felt compelled to get up close and chat us up at every opportunity- and then when we made the turn and finished the area in front of the clubhouse to return the carts we had to drive through groups of guys - again no masks, no distancing all laughing, yelling and carrying on - a real uncomfortable experience for us. I've played many courses since the restart and every other course in the area played felt safe and people were mindful and respectful of the virus.

Maybe it was a fluke and unusual circumstance, but I don't think I'll be back before there's a vaccine
