Improved
Course condition has improved better courses in the area but worth the money and can get 18 in 3.5 hours
Great Shape!
The course has really taken on an upgrade. The fairways and greens are in such great condition. Always a pleasure to play here. Thank you for the hospitality!
So Happy!!
I have been playing this course for a while and this is the best I have seen in so long. Whatever Creste is doing please keep it up! Thank you to the staff for the hospitality along with the maint. crew for the greens and fairways looking so great.
muti-faceted test
Starts out seemingly benign the first two holes, #3 is short but drops about 50 feet tee to green making club selection key. Large sections of reed filled wetlands throughout demand attention, and shot shaping abilities. Some holes allow for bomb and wedge, then another par 3 that drops 50 or more feet to a well bunkered green. Finish with a fun par 4 with an approach over water!
Overall a challenging layout that won't beat you up, with firm greens that hold a shot and rolled true on your line. Well kept track with a friendly staff, Ian, well worth playing and you'll want to come back
Huge improvement of the course
Been playing here for a couple years now and I must say that the conditions have never been better. I really enjoyed it. KEEP IT UP CRESTA STAFF!!!
Sleeper of the week!
Cresta Verde is a perfect place to golf if you're an average golfer that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg to golf, or spend 5-6 hours playing...or waiting. The course has enough challenges to keep you from the PGA, and it's not uncommon to get out of there in 3 1/2 hours during the week...especially later in the mornings. The course conditions have definitely improved over the past few years, and the price is more than reasonable.
Great value, quick pace.
Very overlooked course. Management is continually improving the grounds and the course keeps getting better. Pace of play is usually less than four hours during the week. Staff couldn't be friendlier, can't believe the bad comments.
I think I may have been to harsh on my first review!!!
Creste Verde is in really good shape and I am looking forward to playing there again. The greens are beautiful and the fairways are also in pretty good shape , and the price is right and a very friendly staff!!!
Hospitality and customer service keeps me coming back
I golf here just about every Monday unless I happen to golf in Irvine area with the cousin. But overall my favorite and most convenient course around. sand traps are under repair very narrow fairways so know how to hit the ball straight . And hospitality is what keeps me coming back o Ya and purely because I enjoy the game we call golf . Hope to see you all out on the course
Horrible experience not a 3 star course
I would chalk this course up to a ghetto public course trying to pose as a reputable golf course. I have never been to a course that doesn't allow you to pay for your reservation until your tee time? How is one supposed to hit the range or putting green? It was Father's Day and we had a group of five that was asked to play a scramble because they didn't want us holding anyone up. We obliged and during our play we never had anyone pressing up on us but we were having to stop and keep waiting for the groups ahead of us so we should have been allowed to play regular. There was not a Formal Marshall there but we had the guy that checked us in follow us the entire course. We confronted him and asked if there was something we were doing wrong or if we were playing too slow (which we knew we weren't) and he simply replied no I'm just keeping track of the pace of play. Felt like we were being harassed and because of that we will not be coming back to this course EVER! Too bad because they lost 5 potential clients.
Good course, Great value
This is a fast playing course with great greens and very playable fairways. Best value in Corona and worth playing on a Saturday. Staff is awesome too!
Great Value
I've played twice recently - not crowded and the pace is excellent. Friendly staff. Tee-offs have been on time.
Fun day!
Very uncrowded, which as a relative beginner was very wonderful. I only had to let about 3 groups play through all day. It is always unnerving when you know people are waiting impatiently for you to finish a hole.
The outhouses need some major attention! Gross!
continuing to improve
The course was a bit dry due to problems with the irrigation system but when talking to staff they told us it is now repaired and back in use. As they are using reclaimed water they should be green again soon and able to keep green for the summer. This is a good course for the money and the staff are very nice. Good pace of play too. Fun round here today.
Poor Condition Course
Everything on this course is dry. Even the bunkers have weeds growing everywhere
Great Course, Great Deal
Excellent course for the price, challenging but fun. Course was in good condition for February. Didn't have a wait on any tees after the first on a holiday.
Fair
Considering the time of the year course was in somewhat in good shape with some bear spots in the fairways. Tess boxes need a lot of attention.
