Paradise Valley Golf Course
About
Paradise Valley Golf Course was voted the top course in Solano County and it is considered one of the best values in the North Bay area. Mature oaks line the fairways and meandering creeks wander across the course, coming into play on nine holes. It is a good course for walkers but it is still quite a challenge from the back tees. Club selection and ball placement are equally important. Paradise Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the par-5 10th. It requires a trio of accurate shots beginning with a well placed tee shot just short of the lake that sets you up for the second shot. You will have to make it past a ravine and a massive oak tree in order to make it to the green, which is protected by both sand and grass bunkers.

Better Than Most
Really fun course layout. At least two holes have trees in the fairway. More water than most courses in the area. Flat and walkable. Winter conditions better than most courses. Lots of ducks, geese, egrets and hawks but no birdies for me. Wind played a big part in my round, especially the northern portion of the course. Wind ate 40 yards off my driver on a par 4.
Great place to play.
I feel like giving this course 1 star just so people won't go here,..lol because I like this course so much, but it gets crowded at times and makes for a long day, I played last Saturday and it took 3.5 hours for the front 9 and when we got to 10 there was a 12 person back up.... ridiculous.. besides that this course is fun and in great shape for January
Slow!!!
We teed off at 11:51. It took 3 hours, 10 minutes to finish 9 holes. My whole foursome left at that point. We were told the reason for the slow play was a tournament that had gone off earlier. I hate that excuse from a golf course. Tournament or not, everyone should play at a reasonable rate, and if they don't, the course needs to speed them up. A really disappointing experience, at a course that is normally one of my favorites. Hoping this is a one time thing that won't happen again.
Slowest course play experienced
Due to the lack of attention by the course Marshall, I was only able to play nine holes. The foursome in front of us were playing two or three extra shot causing us to wait for them.
Rangers outright refused to enforce pace of play. We teed of at 11:30 and by 3:15 had only finished 11 holes. Our group called the pro shop from the 5th tee box as we noticed the entire sixth hole was empty and the 7th tee as well with the group in front of us deliberately slow playing and hitting more than one ball per player. The pro shop said they'd send someone out. Nothing happened. We then randomly ran into a ranger later on the 8th hole who we thought had just spoke with the slow group and when we asked him if he had said anything he told us he wasn't aware they were behind. He reluctantly drove over and spoke with the slow group but they only sped up for 2 holes before the extra shots started to come back. There is zero reason a course should be backed up on a rainy Friday in January unless the staff just doesn't care. An absolute joke
Great place to enjoy golf!
Paradise Valley always a challenge and always fun! The golf course is maintained perfectly! I enjoyed the putting greens that require a masters stroke! I enjoyed the company of new friends and get your competitive juices flowing! Looking forward to playing again with my new friends!
Very rundown course
Dirt patches everywhere, weeds in grass everywhere, littered cans and bottles. Front nine is semi-descent but the back nine is horrendous. Not sure why this course has such high reviews. Don’t pay over $20 for this course. Definitely worth it under that price but go with the lowest expectations as possible.
fearsome foursome
PLAYED WITH THREE GREAT TALENTED GOLFERS THAT MADE IT THAT MUCH MORE CHALLENGING AND ENJOYABLE. COURSE DRYING OUT FOR THE COMING WINTER BUT STILL IN GREAT SHAPE. JUST FUN TO PLAY.
Fairfield Paradise Valley.
Flat and challenging course with great par 3 and two elevated tee boxes throughout.
Great combination to have in your backyard.
Prevailing winds down and No breeze today meant low scores and good conditions.
7000 yards plus from tips feels normal here.
What I notice are carts not designated for driving close to greens though late in the day it seems that’s the case. Make em walk if they want to drive that close to greens with December softer conditions. Or else keep an eye out for them that late and keep em in line? Just my two cents. Keep your course conditions optimal as it’s a good course that others can disrespect and shouldn’t.
4 stars. And consistently 4/5. Go play.
