About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Nice place, slow pace
I got paired with a longtime resident and two guys who were in from another golf community for the first time on the course as well. The resident was an exceptional ambassador for the course. I was grateful for this foursome.
Unfortunately a group of three two groups ahead of us played as slow as a group of six. At one hole on the back, we scurried past them, skipping the hole entirely - unfortunate, but otherwise we would have been on the course more than five hours.
Great Track
Was a great course with friendly staff and in good shape. Pace of play was a bit slow because we had a twosome who thought it was their right to hit multiple balls on every hole. Other than that, was a great experience. Finally a golf course with beverage carts that you see more than once or twice in 18 holes .
Nice Mid-Level course
We were able to secure an online tee time through golf now and the course was in great shape!! From the golf shop staff to Tom he starter the staff was really great. The cart girls was very friendly and quick on our drinks.The pub for an appetizer afterwards made for a great experience!!
value and challenge
Got the discounted rate for two of us, Played 18 holes for $106! Course was in good playing conditions, but greens were a bit slower than expected. Well maintained course.
River Run
This course is a gem in the rough. Well laid out with difficulties tiered to any level golfer. I gave this course a 5 based on it’s playability but rated “off course amenities” a “3” because the 9th hole grill was closed.
Kicked off
Tried to kick me and my son off hole 17 at 8p. Starter was a jerk and said course curfew was 8p! Not even close to dark plus we were nearly done

First time for new golfer
This course was very nice staff was friendly and the grounds crew was hard at work taking care of the course.
