Great course, great price!
Course layout was awesome. The fairways have an interesting type of grass that I've never seen before, almost like a crab grass, but was still a great deal for $27 per player.
Decent course
At times staff seemed overwhelmed and short with us. No driving range, which is a big drawback
Nice course
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was a little slow. No range was a down fall, didn't know that until we got there. It was cart path only but the course was dry after the 3rd hole, should have lifted it.
Scenic views
The addition of the blended tees made for a more enjoyable round. Overnight rain two days in a row kept the carts on the paths and provided no roll in the fairways but that also kept the ball in play. Lots of placement shots required here. Greens were true. The views on 7 and 10 are spectacular.
Always a pleasure to play
I try to play Eagles Langing every trip to OC. Always in great shape, it's a fun layout, plenty of challenge, and an accommodating staff.
Wonderful OCMD Course
Everything about the course was great. The course conditions are some of the best I've ever played, especially considering that it was early July. There's also GPS on the carts which is awesome.
The only negative takeaway is that there's no driving range to warm up, but there's a nice short game practice area.
Some people might also want to know that there's no formal restaurant, just a cafe with a seating area. This place would be awesome with an outdoor dining area to enjoy a nice cold drink. The seating area as it is now has big windows with a view of the practice areas and the first tee. Put this view outside and it'll rival most public courses.
Interesting links-y layout
If you like a pretty open course layout but don't want to go full-on Scottish-style links, this course is a good compromise. It has plenty of water in play, it's well-maintained, but the holes are still closer to a normal parkland style with a few gimmicky forced carries that aren't my favorite. It's challenging without being penalizing, but you definitely need some accuracy and some precise yardages.
The biggest drawback was pace of play, over five hours on a Sunday morning, which comes close to ruining my round. Still, if you can get out when it's less crowded, this is a pretty course that tests your skill and has some nice scenery to boot.
Nature Preseve
This golf course is set by a nature preserve. We saw a bald eagle in a tree. It has some very interesting holes and is like playing in an Audubon society. Greens roll great, pace of play excellent, friendly staff, highly recommend.
I'd recommend
Course was in good condition, a lot of marsh area so you need to be accurate. Greens were undulating ,true and in great condition. I'd recommend
Great place.
Great golf course. Challenging course some holes. Over all course great shape
Nice course, if you have 5 1/2 hours to play.
Won't play here again. Slowest play ever. No rangers.
Nice course
Great layout. Few quirky and gimmicky holes. Needs some mowing. greens shaggy and inconsistent, but overall in good condition. Slow pace of play, had to wait on every hole. Felt like being on the first hole each time and was hard to get into rhythm
Ok But...
Quick and simple fellow golfers
good conditions " undulating greens" a few maybe 3 Dog Legs the rest was all straight away fairways over some marsh lands a few nice views of the water, and plenty of water hazards. Upon arrival the Bag man Bob, seemed annoyed that so many people where coming out to play, his fellow assistant seemed thrilled and was very helpful. The lady at the cash register was very happy to get my $ 79.00 for the round which should haven't been more than $ 55.00 for this track, I guess it's location, location, location. My tee time was for 8:57 the 3 they paired me up with still hadn't shown up and Bob made it seem as though it was a disaster. He wanted me to jump out to #5 with an earlier group then finish out the front when I got in, I told him I'll go solo from 1st tee and if the 3 show up they can catch up. As a rule I'm there a minimum 45 minutes to my tee time. The 3 caught up on #2 ,, good guys,, youngsters to my age of 52. They where fun and respectful.
This was the weekend that all group packages begin from what I was told and Golfers where thick as fleas on an old yard dog.
Would I play here again,, unlikely, I'd rather spend more and play a bigger place. Try to catch a special rate if they have one it's not a $ 79.00 spend you'll be ok with.
Best value in OC
The course was in great condition, with lush fairways and well manicured greens. The bunkers were full and fluffy, the way traps should be. The views around the course were top notch. From hole 6 through 18, were challenging and fun to play. Some of the par 5s were lay up holes, which may frustrate long hitters. If you drive 250+, play from the blues. The whites are fun, but a little short at 5700. Blues are 500 longer. I will definitely play this course the next time I am in OC.
Great golf day!
Course was great as normal. Play was a little slow, but not to bad.
Great Esperience
Caught great weather for November and took advantage of it. Played a round with my son. Pace of play was great, received a warm welcome from the entire staff at Eagles Landing. One of my favorite courses.
Great day
Course in good shape for this time of year. They had punched the greens, so putting was a little bit more of a challenge. Fairways in good shape. Most tees in very poor shape.
