Nice course, great discount form Golf Now
The first few holes were very average. Then things got interesting. The beauty of the salt marsh comes into play and the value of the course skyrockets in my estimation. One boundary hole had limits but the others gave you the feel of separation from the congestion of mankind. 17 & 18 left me with a good feeling about ocean courses.
Beautiful conditions, very nice staff
18 holes took over 5 hours. The course was in excellent condition.
Beautiful Course!!
Was on vacation in Ocean City and wanted to play a course with my father in law, so I went to golf now to look around. I originally booked this course because of its proximity to where we were staying and the price. Went on Thursday and played for $39.00 Fabulous course... extremely well kept. Probably some of the best greens I have ever played. It was a challange but offered open fairways with room on the sides. We enjoyed it so much we played again on friday but it was more expensive on the weekend rate $70.00 Even though we played for less the day before it was so worth the $70.00 we payed on Friday. Must give it a try if your in Ocean City MD...oh yeah one more thing. its right next to the airport, so it looked like the planes were gonna land on the fairway.... pretty cool
Starts calm, but does the tension rise!!
Eagles Landing is really set between a "tale of two cities". The non-marsh/land holes, a 15 hcp can navigate pars. But get out near the bay and the course takes a picturesqe and challenging turn. If the winds are blowing, any advantage you had "score wise" can be eaten away quickly. Remember to "club up 1 or 2" on the marsh carry par 3 16th. An overall great course and I know now why it's always in the top 3 or 4 courses in Maryland. Greens were in great shape and were probably a 6.5 on a 10 scale as far as speed. Go play
Poor pace of play and no course ranger
The pace of play was so slow that we couldn't even finish the round. We had two holes left when it was too dark to play and passed the last two groups heading in to the clubhouse. The group on 18 told us there was a group of 8 in front of them that kept peeing all over the course and took forever. So where was the course ranger at Eagle's Landing? This should never happen when you are charging people money to play your course. We were paired up with a single. The pace was so slow that he told us the pro shop tried to discourage him from even buying a tee time. How pathetic is that?
Lovely shore course with lots of marshland and lovely holes to play.
Played from white tees/5700 yds. Plenty of challenge for me at a 10 hcp. The course is fun to play and is great condition. Not a beginners course. Many of the holes were lovely and very challenging. It was nice to have someone that had played the course with us.
Nice course - a little over priced
Course was in good shape - greens excellent - some of the tee boxes were a little beat up. Overall I enjoyed the course - the layout was nothing spectacular but it was enjoyable to play (I am about a 10 handicap).
Price was a little high for a morning round in September - I would play it again for a reduced rate.
A fun course!
A great value for the money. The course is always is nice shape. Great experience playing the course when there is a lunch special. Great Fish sandwiches! I would recommend Eagles Landing to all golfers.
