Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

Nice Value
I paid $19 for a 3pm tee time and for the price it was a very fun tract. The layout if actually fun and from the tips is very long. The grass is just fine on fairways and tees. Greens were a 7 out of 10. I would not pay over $40 to play here but for $19 it is well worth the money and is a tough tract acutally. Is it the Ritz or a Disney conditioned course.....no.....but it is fine if you arent looking for a perfectly manicured layout.
Fun course, but needs some attention
Course layout is interesting, lots of sand traps along fairways and protecting greens. Mediocre golfer like me gets lots of practice getting out of the traps. Sand varies from medium to solid. Plenty of water also but mostly parallel; crossing in just a few places. Greens were really in need of attention with many bare spots and really variable from hole to hole. Tees were not placed as described on score card or course signs. Take your range finder. Friendly folks in the pro shop and marshaling. Had a fun day. Round was relatively inexpensive. I would play again.
Course was in horrible shape. Desperate need of water.
Nice layout
Nice layout, friendly staff but the course was not in very good shape. Sand traps were not raked, greens were very rough and damaged except for last two holes. Pace of play was slow and no ranger to be seen to get the group in front of us moving faster.
Maybe it was the time of year but for $49 it was not worth it...
Great course
Not a bad hole on this course. It played long from the blues. The greens were slow but the rest was fine.
Great course layout and Will come back for sure
Needs uodating and some wirk
This course has a good layout but sadly in need of lot of updates. No sand in sand traps , tee boxes very unlevel at least for the women. Everything needs to be edged . Lots of weeds and dry patches in fairways and no markets in on course except at tee boxes. I think sprinklers are old because saw a lot of green boxes with the wires hanging out. Not sure about greens because they had been sanded and were bumpy and slow , Not sure about the carts, but ours had blue tape trying to hold something together. I think it just needed some screws, but it had something loose that if we held it down while driving it seemed better .
The staff was very friendly and accommodating . The bathrooms again old but clean.
Fond memories here but I was disappointed today
So I’ve been spoiled and I’m used to playing alone when I want but after I booked only the ranger told me, even though I had booked a single tee time for one and paid cart fees, there would be three people playing with me, they were really nice but I wanted to do my own thing and practice my game. I’m wondering why I paid cart fees for someone else to ride in my cart with me. Yes
Great layout - Condition not so good!
Hunters Creek used to be a top notch facilitiy. Course has deteriated from lack of care and upkeep. Some tee boxes are not elevated nor level. Fairways seem to have more weeds than normal. Greens were in fair to good condition. The course itself has a beautiful layout and the staff was very helpful and friendly..
Winter golf
Rainy morning had tee times for 11:30. Course was pretty much empty for my wife and I to play.
Checked in got right off after a few putting tries on the putting green.
No much growth in fair ways but it is winter. Green had some bare spots but the flags were placed it the right places to avoid them.
All and all had a good time.
disappointed
the greens where in need of work especially rolling , every putt made by myself and other players bounced and hoped to the cup making putting an even bigger challenge on poor grass , bunkers where hard and lacking sand , tee boxes where in disrepair although not all of them
Golf week 28 Jan to 4 Feb
Worst course we played over our week of golf. Weeds growing & thriving on green. Fairway in terrible shape.
It may have been a great course once, however, it has certainly been let go. Looks like there is no plan to maintain it & are looking to sell the property . 12 of us take 1 week off & fly into Orlando area for golf. Booked 2 games for the day & for the price we paid we were certainly not happy
Fun course
I enjoyed playing this course. It's a fun track. Unfortunately it looks like they are having money problems. Tees had little if any grass. Greens bare spots and weeds. The bridges over water were scary looking as if they could collapse as you drive over. Too bad. Staff were awesome and the course is a fun play. Would be nice if they could save it.
Why did I return?
The course condition left something to be desired....a nice FL round of golf. I should’ve known when the clubhouse was almost bare....very few items for sale, and the fact that there were so many available tee times. The discounted rate didn’t, which wasn’t discounted enough.
Used to be better....
Hunter's Creek has its ups and downs. Today is was more down than up. Lots of splotchy tee boxes and greens. Fairways in OK shape for most holes, but still some splotchy grass spots. Still a fun course to play.
Condition of course was really bad
The greens were in terrible shape.. Tee boxes were mostly on bad shape with little grass on them. Bunkers had little sand in them. Fairways were okay but had a lot of bad spots. Pace of play was good. Paid $65 plus fees per person to play there and felt this was way too much for the product delivered.
Nice course for a fair rate
Pleasant course to play. Greens could have less weeds. Otherwise conditions are good.
Just another golf course that is going under... I quit playing here years ago.... Read the other reviews before you waste your time and money.
