Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

This course is terrible
I have played this course many times and never seen it this bad.
My wife and I left after only playing six holes, I will not recommend this course to anyone.
Location is good. Fairway was dry and bouncy. Value is reasonably good comparing with what's available.
For the time of year the course was in good shape
The golf now registration worked very well and created no hassles. The course staff was very accommodating and helpful. Everything went smoothly from bag drop to 18th hole.
This time of year, end of winter, showed up on a few holes for needing maintenance. The green fees met our expectations for a course in middle of Orlando and were out of line. Will play this course again when in Orlando.
My Home Course, Needs Some Work
I'll be the first to admit that despite it's conditions, I'll keep coming back here. It's my home course, and I'm comfortable here.
That said, I've been golfing here for about 3 years now, and I've seen it go through some changes along this time. You don't have to go far in the reviews here to know that the greens, for the most part, are in very bad condition. On the back nine, they are slightly better, but not near good enough. The fairways are decent, and the tee boxes are uneven at times. Hard to find a good, flat spot to tee off from in most of the tee boxes.
What's GREAT about this course is the layout. You can play it as hard or as easy as you want it. It's a LONG course, especially if you play the tips, but the hazards aren't too bad. Not a ton of bunkers on the fairways, but the greens have enough to challenge. It's really the SIZE of the course that can get to be challenging. I play after 2:30, so I can get the lower rates, and today I played in about 2.5 hours as a single golfer, but even on the long days, it only takes me about 4 hours to play, even if I'm with a group. The staff is friendly, for the most part.
Pros: Friendly staff, great course layout, not a lot of waiting around, decent fairways
Cons: HORRIBLE greens, uneven tee boxes, lack of amenities.
Conclusion: For $18, it's a good deal. Any more than that, and I might would recommend going elsewhere for the moment. If someone would invest some money to those greens and pay a drink cart person at LEAST, Hunters Creek would easily be worth $50 or more.
The greens are bad
The green are bad! Other then that the course is a fun, wide open layout
What Happened?
I live in Northern Seminole Co. so I generally play there or in Volusia Co. Been a few years since I'd been to Hunter's Creek, but they had an open tee sheet on GolfNow...so I booked and made the drive. The pace of play was typical weekend hacker. Saw someone drive a cart ***between the apartment buildings and into the parking lot*** on 16 looking for their ball. Made me laugh out loud. I remembered a fun, challenging course with great greens. The greens here are shot. Our group played "2 putt max" if the ball landed on the green. There was no reading putts. You were better off figuring out how many times the ball would bounce or in which direction it would go. Great staff, but this once challenging and fun course is in decline.
Fun course
Great layout. Fairways were generous and nice. Greens were spotty and sandy and slow.
Hard to get pace good of greens.
Loved the character of the course.
HC is typical for what I expected in March. All the greens are over-seeded and sand covered in many places. They are slow and bumpy, but I expected this. The fairways are decent for March4. The staff
Player Beware
Selected the course because of: past performance, current available early tee time and cost. Arrival (30 minutes early) was good with the attendant helping with the bags. Check in with the pro shop was quick and uneventful with no comments on course condition. Utilized the driving range which provided more than adequate quantity of balls for practice for our group of four. Practice green was acceptable.
Off to the 1st tee, although we had a tee time before 9:00 they were already running 15 minutes behind. 1st tee box was OK, fairway was ok but then the 1st green and the following tee boxes and greens were in deplorable shape. Tee boxes, hard to find a level area and there was minimal grass. Greens were consistent in the fact: large bare areas, bumpy, sandy around the edges and unacceptable. Bunkers were hard and very wet in places even though no rain in the past week, they had not been raked recently. The greens could cost you an additional 8 - 10 strokes.
From comments heard it seems that Integrity Management is not putting money into the course at this time, staff has asked for 100 rakes to be provided but were turned down and grounds work has not been approved.
Before booking this course recommendn that you check on the conditions first.
Very poor shape
Too bad that Integrity Golf has their hands on this course. I have never played here before, but I imagine it was a very interesting course when it was in good shape. Now the greens are the worst I have seen in the area. Fairways are playable, but don't drive your cart too fast. Maybe they should shut it down for a year and totally renovate.
Greens terrible condition
The fairways were good albeit dry but this is Florida. 90% of the greens were in rough shape with holes mud and sand everywhere. Pace was good my foursome finished in 3.5hours
Overall Fair Experience
The course has a great layout but the greens were in pretty bad shape. I've enjoyed playing here in the past but it seems to me that the overall conditions have gotten worse over the last couple of years.
A very enjoyable round
I played here to escape work for a few hours and had a great time. The staff are friendly and I was paired with some members for my tee time who were welcoming and very friendly. The course was in great condition apart from the front 9 greens which were in a bad way. Hopefully they will be sorted soon. Its not a bucket list course but it was fun.
Nice track
We were very pleased with the layout and pace of play. The course suffers from lack of watering and the greens were mediocre. However, that being said, we had a good time. We have played here about 12 years ago when the rates were higher and the course in better condition. At the price, it met our expectations.
Would play again.
never again
T boxes were in awful condition and the greens were even worse. Will never return. We played at another course on Saturday at the same rate (Royal St Cloud) and the conditions were fantastic.
Greens are in poor condition. Fairways need repair
Where did the greenkeepers go?
We have played this course regularly for many years and chose to bring some friends over to play on Saturday. We couldn't believe how the condition of the course has deteriorated since we last played. The greens seem to have more sand on them than grass and the cart paths are falling apart and, as our friend said, the whole course looks "tired and shabby". We will not be returning here, even though it is our closest course.
