Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

The worst
If you want to throw your money away go play here Hunter's was always a great place and now not even worth the drive
STAY AWAY
Please do not be fooled by this picture as this course hasn't looked like this in decades. It needs to close asap and stop screwing people out if their money.
Over Ran
Hunters Creek has a great layout. Been looking forward to playing this course for awhile now. Unfortunately this course is over ran, course is in terrible shape. Greens are choppy / large sand patches on Greens / sand traps are muddy and weedy. Very disappointing. The “cart girl” drove right by us twice - never stopping or ever asking us if we wanted anything ??? Looked like she was mad to be there ?!? So sad that I finally got a chance to play this course - just to be disappointed......
It is a great shame that they let such a beautiful course go down hill. Hopefully they will take these bad reviews to heart and invest the time / money and bring it back to what it used to be ..........
Needs work
Course needs alot of work. Green were unplayable.
I wouldn't recommend playing this course til it gets back to the way it was back in the day
A Joke
I cannot believe this course is open. It wasn't even worth the $27 I paid on golfnow. 4 greens were off limits and makeshift holes were in the fairway. Not a single green was even in average condition so putting was a crapshoot. Management is no existent as there was no staff in the shop when I arrived to check in and there were 2 guys playing out of 1 rented bag in front of us. First time playing and I will never go back.
TERRIBLE COURSE
I don’t expect a whole lot out of a $25 course but this was horrendous. Half of the holes the pin was legitimately in the fairway and the green was destroyed. When the pin was on the green, the grass itself was so diseased that it was like putting on cement. Not to mention the cart paths were borderline non existent.
And my favorite part: there is absolutely NO WAY this course is 7400 yds. Not even close. I am by no means an expert and on their hole that is supposedly 550 yards, I was on in three. Let me tell you that’s not possible given my skill level.
Burned out and abondoned looking
This place was in terrible shape, bunkers without sand weeds growing on the green and patchy grass throughout. Many of the greenns are being resodded so only play off of half of the "greens"
Cheap amd cheerful
The fairways and t boxes were good but greens weren’t worth putting as well as a few had temp greens on fairway grass.
I didn’t see any sanitizers in carts.
Dumpster Fire
Pace of play was very fast because I was the only person dumb enough to be out there playing this dump. The only thing this place needs is a bulldozer. Save your money and play somewhere else. Anywhere else!!!
Loved this Course
I read all the bad reviews. The course condition is not the best. There were 4 temporary greens. The fairways were perfect. They are working on the greens. GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY. I cannot wait to go back. The pace of play was fantastic. The guy in the pro shop was friendly. They allowed each of us to have our own car at no extra charge (covid safe).
In summary, the course needs some attention. Management is spending the money to bring it back. Good value for the money. YES, WE ARE GOING BACK.
Everything But the Greens
Overall, I'm a pretty big fan of Hunter's Creek. The course is long and pretty open, with great looking fairways. This weekend, the greens looked like they were hardly maintained for the past few months. There are weeds all over, sand on the greens, and just in terrible condition. The sand traps were dirty, and really not maintained throughout the course either. Hopefully there is some new management in place, and they work actively working on restoring 3 of the greens, having temporary holes set up.
Will Never Play Again
Arguably the worst course conditions I ever played. Weather was great and course layout was good which accounts for the stars, otherwise it was a zero stars.
Couse looks like it has been abandoned and ready to close down. About 4 greens has the had the pins in the fairways because the green were closed. Which is OK if they are working no the course, but no mention of it when checking in so my GPS on my approach shot was off considerably. No effort to make the temporary pins even remotely puttable.
Working greens were a mess. Not mowed and weedy.
Bunkers had little sand and most were full of grass and weeds. T boxes also all weeds and not level.
Pace of play was great because it was empty on a Sunday morning.
Its sad I suppose; maybe COVID has killed this place. This could be a great course. Nice layout, lots of water.
But never again.
The course layout is great but the owners let the conditions go downhill. The guy in the pro shop said they had just sold and the new owners are working on making the improvements. They did have a few of the greens closed and temporary's in(kind of a joke) but hopefully they do succeed in making the much needed repairs.
