Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

Good Value
It is a great course and I hope new owners bring it up to decent conditions.
Poor conditions
Very unsatisfied with the overall course conditions, bad greens, bad fairways.
Paid $27 for a $15 course
Horrible conditions all around. Grass growing in all bunkers. Grounds not kept up very well. Greens are in horrible shape. Rough areas really over grown.
Highs and Lows
Hunter Creek is providing reasonable pricing golf for an average golf course. Most other golf courses are over charging for courses that are in terrible shape. Hunter Creek golf course had a nice pace of play. Some of the greens have bare spots and damage surfaces. Some of the bunkers need the grass removed. A few of the tee boxes are in bad shape. Overall, the price you pay and the condition of the course is satisfactory.
Too many great Orlando area courses to play this one again.
Our threesome lost more than a dozen balls in the fairway rough. Some balls that hit in the fairway and rolled off could not be found. Sand traps have no sand, just weeds. Some greens had virtually no grass.
This was our first time playing Hunters Creek and we won't return until we read they have improved their maintenance. There are just too many great courses in the Orlando area to be frustrated by this one.
Interestingly, there were plenty of golfers playing when we were there. They must hit every fairway and green!! We found more balls than we lost while looking for our shots, but on most courses we would have been able to continue to play without spending time searching in the super long grass.
Need to learn how to maintain the course
Rough and bunkers are absolutely terrible. If you can stay out of them and make it to the greens, it’s not much better.
Not being maintained
Tee boxes are in bad condition, lots of tree debris on the roughs, bunkers are now more just like huge grassy dirt holes. Though the food cart attendant is very friendly, they don’t offer variety. This once great course is severely hurting and don’t see it lasting much longer provided it continues to be ran that way. Quite honestly its a shame to see where its gone. Very conveniently located however there’s better options available for not that big of a rate difference.
Always in good shape!
I've played here a few times and the conditions are always very good, the greens were also running nicely. The bunkers aren't being maintained and I'd say it's due to Covid-19 so it's understandable. The course is tight in spots so you need to keep them straight.
Nice staff and informal.
Greens need a lot of work. Manager is great and hopefully new ownership will fix it up.
Bfgolfer
Calling this a cow pasture is an insult to cow pastures. They literally must be joking calling this a golf course. Pace of play was great as nobody was out there. I wouldve given staff some stars but only person was doing it all, pro shop, carts etc. This has gone from a great place to play to total crap. Dont see this place ever coming back...too far gone. Can't believe other reviews were 3's. Fairways garbage...rough nothing but 8 inch crab grass, bunkers are combo grass / sand. ...GRAND
Course OK
The Fairways were average, needed some work. The greens had some bare spots which made it difficult to putt.
Better than expected
I read other reviews before I played and I was pleasantly surprised. The fairways were in good shape, the tee boxes were flat and mowed which is all you really need. The greens for the most part were good, they were semi fast and rolled well. There were some that had some bad patches but overall they were very putt able. The course is fairly long and wide, mostly straight only a few dog legs. We had a hot deal so the value was excellent.
Course condition
Most greens were in horrible condition. Drainage issues despite the storms. Lots of fallen trees throughout the course, although they were working on it.
