Course was in good shape.

Pace of play was terrible as always! Foursome in front is finished two holes behind. HELP!!!

It's a beautiful course but there was literally no place to fill a water bottle other than the club house. It was hot and we didn't finish because we ran out of water. Half way house was closed and no cart beverage cart service.

8/17/25 - 2 pm tee time, paired with a great group after the confusion of the layout being a first timer was a struggle. Luckily I got the tee time at a steal for 80$ I was happy. However with lack of Marshall’s to enforce pace of play it took us 5 hours to finish 18 holes I would never go back! Views were better than course conditions. Not worth the hype to me

Everything was fantastic except the driving range wasn't open

The course itself is beautiful, but the pace of play here is painfully slow. This was my second time playing, and unfortunately, the same problem persisted. The staff seemed uninterested in addressing what was happening on the course.

We called twice because the group ahead of us was playing extremely slow, hitting two balls each and clearly struggling. The group in front of them was already one to two holes ahead, yet nothing was done. Even the group ahead of us called the pro shop, and both times, the response was essentially, “The whole course is slow right now.”

No marshal ever came by to check on the situation, and every time we called, the pro shop staff seemed indifferent, even giving off an attitude. When customer service is this apathetic, it’s no surprise problems go unresolved.

Bring your A game for this one! Long drives, undulating fairways and tricky greens are all awaiting you. Look for hole 16 to truly "Wow!" you. Come play "The Rock", you won't be disappointed.

I first played this course back In May 2025. Since then, I have played it 4 times. I really like the course because of the elevation changes, multitudes of lies, nice sandtraps, and the scenery isn't too bad. I love the lake nestled in the pit along #16. The course is pretty well maintained with very little in the way of bare ground spots around the greens and fairways I see on so many public courses.

The course layout appears to have been modified. Not certain when this was done, but the the stone signage with the hole descriptions are not in sync with the playing order of the actual holes. Everything else seems to be fine.

Bring water, the coolers have ice but that's it. Other than the halfway house between 11 & 12, there are no other opportunities to get a fill up once you head out.

The clubhouse is nice and clean, restrooms are nicely looked after, and the food is pretty good. The halfway house has a good cache of food and drinks too. The people are super friendly and helpful.

The carts have all been great. No surprises. Not a fan of the speed monitoring, but it's not out of line with every other course using managed satellite cart control.

As far as how this course stacks up with similar public courses around the area, I like Oak Quary the best. These comparable courses would be Coyote Hills, Anaheim Hills, Tierra Rejada, Angeles National, and Rancho Park.

Course conditions were amazing. The only draw back was a lack of a cart girl and the snack shack not being open during our play. It was a hot one so it was a definite draw back.

I love hitting up this course whenever I can score a good deal, but honestly, the pace of play can be a total nightmare. The views are amazing, and I love the course layout, but if you're looking for a decent pace of play—forget it. If they can sort out the pace of play, this would be one of my favorite courses for sure.
