Scarlett gem in Piscataway lovely little track great welcome from the young lads at the clubhouse Cody the starter gentleman couple of tea boxes that were a little dog up but other than that short golf course nice dog legs left and right nice par fives a shorter course for low handicap golfers but the greens are lovely great undulations wonderful character not much elevation change you can actually score very well on this golf course greens were a little fast and true love them very much look forward to going back thanks again

Greens and fairways are well maintained.

Also has some challenging holes.

The one thing I didn't like about the course was slow play. This was my 4th time playing here and each round took around 5 1/2 + hours to play.

Golf course was real fun if you can actually finish your round in the afternoon. First of all, the golf course was backed up by 20 minutes. Not sure why that’s the case considering Rutgers is not the most difficult course to find your ball. Second, I was paired up with true beginners. Whiffing shots, hitting horrendous fat shots, 5 putting, and taking videos of their horrible swing. After finishing the front 9 in 3 hours, I decided to end the round since there was no way I’ll finish the back 9 before it gets dark. For those of you who are reading this review, don’t play Rutgers in the afternoon if you are looking to complete a full round. I recommend to book a tee time early as you can in the morning if you decide to play here.

Having played Rutgers a few times this year, it remains consistent.

Pace of play was a bit slow .

Course was in good shape.

I’m a beginner golfer and really liked that there was not much water! And I love the deer!

Really enjoyed the course. Tough back nine is a challenge.

5 hour round on a course with golfers who could barely play….pace here is usually enforced but….not today I guess

The Rutgers University Golf Course is in great shape considering the weather and how much play it gets. Kudos to the greens keeper and maintenance staff! The course is very walkable…fairly flat with convenient routing between holes. There’s a well-stocked snacks/drinks stand at the clubhouse.

What I enjoyed most was the great service. The gentleman running the pro shop was friendly and efficient. I was greeted by a friendly Starter while warming up. Rangers actively work the course to manage the pace of play. My favorite part was on the 2nd and 7th fairways, where a very helpful ranger spotted all of our errant shots, and marked the location of each ball with a towel. This really sped up play, and was entirely unexpected from a moderately priced public course. Way to go, RU GC! Keep up the great work!

Rutgers is usually one of our favorite courses. However, this past week it became one we were not happy with. The weather policy is terrible. After teeing off and playing 4 holes the rain came and washed the course out. We were informed the course was closed and return to the clubhouse. We had paid $71 to ride 18. Once back in the clubhouse we were informed we'd have to wait for the superintended to decide if the course would close. About 60 minutes passed and the decision was made the course would reopen but would be walking only. The course would only refund the cart fee. Being with two senior citizens walking was not an option. No refund or rain check were offered. Only played 4 holes for full price. That stinks.
