Rutgers University Golf Course

Course was in good shape, pace of play was excellent and the staff was nothing but great highly recommended

They are serious about maintaining a quick pace of play here AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. Even though this place is usually packed and it takes an act of congress to get a morning weekend tee time, I've never had a round take more than 4 hours 15 minutes.

The layout is nothing spectacular but it's enough to keep your interest and is in good shape.

Course seems to have a good walking culture among the clientele and is an easy walk.

Price is reasonable, they didn't sting me too hard for being an out of state non-alumni on a weekend.

They also have snazzy port-a-potties with running sink water.

The course is an interesting layout with short and long holes. Greens were nice but fairly slow. Fairways were in good shape. The bag drop is across the street from the clubhouse and I accidentally left my clubs there. The staff was great and called me. They held them overnight until I could get them in the morning. They couldn't have been nicer.

Although it's my alma mater, was only my 2nd time playing this course. The course conditions were pretty good but the layout is kind of boring. Very minimal elevation changes. Not much water. The feel of a very mediocre county course. Still, I'd play it again because of the value at twilight and the maintenance.

Rutgers just opened for the season and is in terrific shape, as usual. The course was packed, but no delays.

I play here more than anywhere else. Course is always in great condition, greens roll well, and the pace of play is always 4 hrs. or less.

This is typically in good condition. I University does a great job in the upkeep. Course was in great condition.... Pace was on par. I never see Rangers but it still keeps good pace. Challenging holes and good fun.

They keep the course in great shape and they truly care about the pace of play. If you are a slow player they have no fear letting you know and moving you if needed.

The layout is subtly harder than one would expect, good fun course with a super friendly staff.

The course is so well maintained and the staff, including the rangers, are very friendly and helpful. The course itself is long, beautiful, and challenging. Greens are fast and flawless. My favorite course, definitely worth every penny.

Love this course. It's located right along side Rutgers' Busch campus and med school, which makes for some interesting scenery of classroom buildings and the football stadium. Water on about 9 or 10 of the holes, but most of the time it is a narrow stream that is sometimes non-existent depending on the rain in the past few weeks. It is challenging, and decently spread out on most of the holes. You will play every club in the bag. Pretty cheap, especially for students and residents, but the carts are expensive (what else is new). Walking 18 isn't too hard, though so give it a go.
