Rutgers University Golf Course

Greens are in great shape for this time of year. Lot of different little projects going on around the course and fairways and rough are still pretty spotty. Hopefully will grow in nicely in a few weeks. Every bunker seemed to have plenty of good sand too.

Living in Long Island and Bethpage out of business since the Ryder cup I grabbed a hotel and jumped on the train to play Rutgers. I have been coming here for 50 years and the place is a comfortable shoe. Everyone is nice and the course was in great shape. Fairways greens and rough were all good. Pace of play was about 4 hours, despite the fact that 2 of the guys had no idea what they were doing.I am not looking for others golf shots after every single shot. 1 guy dropped a ball 90 yards from the green and his ball was on the green! How does that happen?A suggestion the 20 balls you lossed would go a long way towards lessons.And when you have a 8 am tee time Don’t meet us on the second hole because you were late! Shocking.l.there was traffic on 287 at 7 am must have been a day ending in y! Great spot! Enjoy!

Course is in excellent shape, Tee boxes in great condition. Greens running fast the day I played. Bunkers soft. Starters ensure pace of play. No wateri stations so bring it if you need it.

This is a very well maintained course, and great value for the money. Many walkers so it is a 4 1/2 hour round. The greens are very true. Players must learn to repair their divots on the green

Fun layout, nice conditions, best public greens I have seen in a while.

Great course, just over 6k yards from the blacks. We'll managed greens and fairways.

We have played here several times. Beautiful course, unfortunately this time I spent too much time in the sand.

Great friendly Staff. Very accommodating. Layout is VG. Fairways in great shape. Greens very consistent.

Tee boxes a bit chewed. My only complaint is Lazy Inconsiderate golfers that DO NOT repair ball mars on greens or replace divots in the fairway. Especially with the course being wet. I fixed a new personal record of ballmarks on the greens yesterday.

It’s just being considerate of the people behind you and keeping the course in good shape for Everyone.

Course was a little challenging but fun to play. Pace was good. Only suggestion would be for Rutgers to put water jugs out on the course. It was extremely hot and could’ve used a refill on the front and back nine. Perhaps a water station at 5 and 14 would work nicely.

I RECOMMEND THIS COURSE. IT WAS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. MY ONLY RESERVATION WAS IT WENT FROM THE FAIRWAY TO THE ROUGH. I DON'T RECALL A FIRST CUT .

Just a great layout …skirting the campus sets a nice tone. Course is challenging yet forgiving. Staff is very friendly & helpful… all in all an enjoyable day!

Always like playing this course, very well maintained

I’ve been playing a lot this summer, and most of the public courses have taken a beating due to the heat, but this course is in great shape considering everything else.

Course is in very good condition. Especially with the heat we’ve had. Greens in Excellent condition and consistent. Fairways cut perfect. My only issue is the lazy people that don’t fix divots and ballmarks.
