Asheville Municipal Golf Course

Played Asheville Municipal today. Great and classic Donald Ross course. Friendly staff, good pace (we teed off early). Greens were pretty good but otherwise the course was in a sad state, sorely in need of a major cash and effort injection. Nevertheless- enjoyed our round

We enjoyed the course. The course was in terrible shape for this time of year. The pro shop people were absolutely accommodating and super friendly! We will definitely golf here again because of the people! Eat before you come, two small hot dogs were $8.00. Other than that, the people were so nice and that is what separates them from other courses. Wicked nice people....they are the catalyst for us to come back! Thank you! The grounds staff, needs to really step it up! This is an antique golf course built in 1927 in Asheville and it should be treated with high respect and well taken care of! Oldest golf course in Asheville. Shame on the one in control of this beautiful Donald Ross Course.

Very disappointed when we showed up for our 220 tee time they informed us a school league is going out and we would have to wait for an hour to get out. If we hadn’t prepaid we would have left. Shouldn’t give out tee times when the same time as the school league

The staff is fine, they do the best they can. there's simply too many people trying to play at once. The wait times are rediculous, the grooming of the course is non-existent, the tee boxes are a joke, the greens weren't terrible but could stand improvenement. Thjey'd vorrected some of the swampy areas, but cart path is poor, sand traps poor, fairways need some attention, rough is ok. Just too crowded and over=used.

40,000 + rounds a year. Spend a few dollars and fix the tee boxes. How much can grass cost?

This is an inexpensive course and has a pleasant variety of holes.

Course is in good shape. Enjoyed it.
