1st time, loved the course, staff at pro shop - excellent!
Beautiful course, my buddies and I enjoyed our round. The guy at the pro shop (didn't catch his name) was amazing - polite, professional and welcoming.
Only small negative is I felt the greens are a bit overwatered, balls plug which is ok but it does lead to quite a bit of "scarring" on the greens which takes away from the overall beauty of the course.

Good but not great
1. They overcharge for green fees
2. The bent greens are very worn, you will not get a true putt on the course
3. The course is great and challenging but the greens are blah
4. There is always something going on here. Either pace of play is like a snail or there are no range ball baskets or in this case today, zero carts available when you arrive. They jam in everything they can and it’s evident bc logistically something is ALWAYS off.

Good course, bad greens
Old Sycamore was a really well designed course and the conditions were pretty pristine. The only downside were the greens. I’m not sure if they were super soft, causing ball strikes to really make some marks, but it seemed like there were tons of blemishes on the greens. This is probably due to golfers not fixing ball marks, I probably fixed 10-15 ball marks that weren’t my own (cause I can’t hit greens lmao). Other than that, the course was in really fantastic shape.

Great condition, playable course
My buddies and I are not regular golfers (We play 1-4 times a year) and we were looking for a nice
Course in the south Charlotte area. We had heard Olde Sycamore was nice, so we decided to check it out. I must say it delivered. The course was in great shape. The holes are challenging with some great distance from the tips. Most fairways are forgiving and the greens played fair. All in all, we had a great time.

Good value for Money
The course was in good shape. Greens need a little work. Fast enough and held great, np to back spin the ball, but alot of divot marks, unrepaired marks and dead spots.
3hour 15 minute round at 1155am tee time. So that was awesome.
I will return.

Labor day
Fairways were great. Greens were a bit of a mess with big black spots and lots of unfixed ball marks. Sand traps were unplayable with zero sand in them.

Course needs attention
Earlier in the year this course was in better shape. Today the greens were a mess. Lots on unprepared ball marks and a few bare spots.

Great course. Interesting lay out.
Forces you to move the ball around a lot. Basically can’t use driver on front 9. Really enjoyed.
