Slow play
My son and I played on the afternoon of July 24th. We decided to leave the course after the 13th hole due to slow play. As we were driving back to the club house we encountered a 5 some on the 17th hole and people that should have picked up after their 5th shot on the par 3 fairway. The older couple in front of us were playing 2 balls each due to the slow play. Old Sycamore needs a better ranger and live up to the rules on the score card for slow play. After complaining about the slow play pro shop manager was nice to give us 50% off our Roy d as a credit for the round. Also the greens we in need of repair. Overall I would recommend either playing when there is not a full tee sheet or finding another course.

Overall the course was in excellent condition. Nice layout. Have played several times in the past. My only negative is that the greens were filled with craters. For some reason it doesn't seem like most players fill their ball marks on the green. The greens were excellent otherwise. I will be back soon.

Great local course
Hidden gem. The course is in great shape and seems to be run extremely well. Pace of play can be a bit slow but if that doesn’t bother you it definitely worth a visit.

Love this course. Have been playing it for years. Great staff especially, Greg, Clayton, Kim, Dexter, and Bill the starter. Olde Sycamore is a great place to spend time. I give it 5 Stars

Olde Sycamore
Have played Olde Sycamore in the past. The rounds were 5.5-6 hrs long Couldnt continue to play it at that pace
Tried again on Monday July 5 Pace was still Slow
Found out they had let a sixsome play 2 groups ahead of us with 3 carts/6 players
The group in front of us had to wait to hit to the green on every hole Very frustrating and disrespectful to the other paying golfers to have to wait on every hole The ranger lied to us about the six person group, saying they all werent playing
So, 3 carts with 6 people and six bags on the carts-they all 6 were swinging and hitting balls It was the putting on the greens that was the time killer
Cant play with this pace of play Its too frustrating

Rude employees and ridiculous priced
Don't waste your money at this place. Staff is not friendly at the beginning of covid they tried forcing my friends son to walk instead of riding in a cart with his father but then was ok with trying to have another random person ride with. Will never go back to this place
