Good value
Not in Good Shape
I used to love this course, but over the past couple years it has deteriorated. Several of the greens where so torn up, that you could not even putt on them. Pace of play was terrible. We had several Tee boxes where we had 3 groups on the tees. There was no Ranger to help with this issue and it was really bad when you had groups of walkers catching up with those who were riding! Not the best round.

Great Layout. Horrible Greens.
The layout of this course was factastic. Very challenging, you’ll play every club in your bag, but the greens were absolutely horrendous. Tire marks on the green, bare patches of grass, and not a single ball Mark was repaired despite all the signs instructing to repair ball marks. One of the greens looked like someone had smashed a wedge right in the center of the green. Another green had tire marks all around the green and even more tire marks on the green right in front of my ball. Truthfully, NOT worth $55 a round even on a Sunday afternoon. The green conditions really ruined our round.

Great course!
Really great course here, challenging, fun, well kept. Pace of play was a little backed up but only by 7 minutes.
Practice greens and driving range are excellent. Staff is friendly and dedicated to making sure you have a great round.
Course is overall very nice, fairways are excellent, greens and bunkers are well kept, and tee boxes are well main tee. Overall, great course for the money. I would not recommend walking due to the amount of hills, but very fun course.

Poor greens
Quite a few greens are in really bad shape and not really puttable. Those that are still puttable are very inconsistent speed wise. Been this way all summer

Great Value
Great course for the value. Some of the greens needed a little attention, but nothing major. The only issue that can easily be addressed is several groups not repairing ball marks. Greens had 3-4 large marks on them from previous groups.

Greens still a little rough
Fairways and roughs well maintained. Greens held the ball well, were moderate speed, had lots of bare spots and ball marks. Maintenance crew may want to allow greens to harden if players are not repairing ball marks.

Poor Greens
Love the layout at Olde Sycamore. Unfortunately, the greens have many worn areas and a ton of unrepaired ball marks. Throw on top of that some hairy greens, and putting was unbearably slow and bouncy. Sand traps could use attention from the staff since there are no rakes.

This course would have received a higher rating from me with the exception of the greens are in HORRIBLE shape! Appeaantly no one that plays here knows what repairing divots are! the greens are tore up and there are some holes I would not even putt. I play about twice a week and this course is many that i have played and has been this way all year. For the amount they charge I would expect more attention to detail. They also ran out of carts which seems odd to me and had to wait 15 minutes to get a cart which was soaking wet and had to dry it myself

One of my favorite courses!
This is one of my favorite courses in Charlotte.
It’s close to my home, it’s challenging but not impossible and the landscaping around the course is beautiful.
The only real issue I had to day was the greens are not in great shape. Lots of sand around and divots. I’m sure it has to do with the rain we’ve had...

Cool Layout, Kind of Hard, Bad greens
the overall course was great but there were 3 or 4 holes where the greens are in terrible shape, sand and divots everywhere, impossible to read. Otherwise the course was very fun with nice staff and amenities

Greens in Bad Shape
The course is what it is but the greens were ate up. They also had a tournament that really slowed things down. The discount is why we played but would have been unhappy had I payed full price.
Great day for golf
Course was well maintained bar the greens they were aweful I watched my partner put on one green it went airborne, crazy bad . Apart from that great round of golf with some challenging holes!

Horrible Greens & Best to Avoid
The greens do not reward average or better play. Many of the greens still bear what appears to be snow cat tracks from the 8/17 deep core aeriation. Holes # 2, 4, & 11 are still unplayable. Many, perhaps most of the greens require relief due to areas covered by black algae, fungus, crust, debris, dirt, or sand. Otherwise it's a great layout with fantastic staff.

Don’t Play Here
Go somewhere else. The layout is good (from the blue tees) but a lot of the greens are in terrible shape. Your best bet is to go somewhere else until they fix the greens. It was very disappointing for $50. Would not recommend.
