The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Beautiful!

Even though today was overcast with occasional drizzle this course offered great views along with great golf. I got a terrific discount through GolfNow with a late tee time. I got there early and was able to start early. I started as a single but quickly caught up to a twosome that invited me to join them. By the third tee another single filled out our foursome. The pace of play was quick. The carts are electric with a large screen GPS that gives you plenty of information. This was such a nice course and such a great price that I'm playing there again tomorrow. This is a class operation.

Very nice course with holes that are different from each other.

I would play this course again. It is challenging, but fair. We played from the whites which are 5814. It played a little slow as we were a twosome. Lots of water so bring some balls. Course was in very good condition. The greens were somewhat marked up from all the play.

Great setting and well-maintained, but you better hit the fairways.

I really enjoyed playing this beautiful OBX course. The price I got through GolfNow made it a great value. Otherwise, I would probably rate it an average value if I had to pay the full price. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I especially enjoyed the back nine.

A lot of diversification between holes

Fairways were plush and plenty of room to play a missed shot. Sand traps were well maintained. I felt comfortable playing the course and am just a mediocre player. Greens needed to be rolled as they were a little bumpy.

Best choice out on "the banks"

Great course, very wide open, no long carries. This course is nicer and easier than my regular course Seascape as well as Nags Head. Even though Seascape is part of my timeshare I will be playing Currituck through GolfNow again.

Beautiful course

Played the course twice in 4 days. Loved it. Touch screen monitors in the carts suggest how to play each hole as well as showing where the danger is with an overview of the hole. Yardage to the flag is automatically calculated for you as you approach your ball and pin placement is shown on the green too. Very cool feature that you rarely see in carts. The 7th hole plays along the sound and offers excellent views. Greens played slow for me and were in decent condition. I would definitely play this course again

Worth playing if you can get a deal

We paid $39.00 for our round which made it a great value. The course is not worth the standard rate of $130.00. The course is well maintained, not overly difficult. The staff is friendly but no one went out of there way to help us. There was no starter or marshals. Wanted to have a drink after the round but bar was closed for private function.

Course extremely well maintained

Great course overall. Good location if staying in North Outer Banks. Fairways maintained well, with some well placed bunkers and shape which makes hitting a straight tee shot imperative. Water and overgrown marsh area's well placed making shots seem more difficult than they really are, which is good for intermediate golfers like myself. Greens were very nice, soft but still fast and a good deal of break on every putt regardless of were the ball is.
All and all, one of the better golf courses I have played, which may be due to the amazing views of the sound and the ocean depending on what hole your on.

Overpriced, in general

The Currituck Club is a nice course, with nice people running it, however, this course is not worth the $95-130 fee on a regular day this time of year (Sept.). Certain holes needed maintenance, a couple of fairways were browned out in spots, but overall, it is well maintained. While I would recommend this course, I would only say that if you get a good deal on the greens fees through golfnow.com or another discount site. Otherwise, move on to The Point or Carolina Club for a better value

Wish GolfNow could tell if greens punched/sanded?

Currituck could use an on course Ranger, friendlier staff and heads up on punched/sanded greens.

Greens in terrible shape.

Thankfully paid only $45 thru golfnow deal. I would have been disappointed if I paid going rate of 130. Greens were in terrible shape- ball marks, divots, bumps, etc.
Other cons: they charge you for range balls-for 130 bucks they ought to give you a small bucket.
Pros: staff friendly, pace of play was as advertised it not slightly better.
If you can get for 45-60 thru golfnow.com go for it- if not try someplace else.

Fairly well maintained, scenic, somewhat pricy without golfnow.

I enjoyed playing. A scenic fairly well maintained public course. Friendly staff. Without GolfNow would have been pricy.

Basic beach course

Nice layout, however poor greens made this a not so fun round. Divots galore, spike marks that looked metal and some of the slowest greens I've ever played on. Would not pay any more than $50 to play the course again in the condition it was in.

Great Value

One of the best courses I have played. We were able to get a hot deal for $60 a person, then got a free round with an online promo code. Played a $120 course for just $47 a person. Great deal!

Currituck Club

I have played this Rees Jones design several times. In my opinion, it is the best laid out course in the Outer Banks. On this trip, the greens were on the slower side but rolled true. The course was maintained well, although I have seen it in what I would described as pristine shape in the past.

Superb conditions with friendly staff add up!!

The Currituck Club offers a great layout with pristine conditions and a friendly professional staff, however all this doesn t add up to $160 per player. I was lucky enough to play for free utilizing golf now rewards program. I will say it is a must play if you can get a hot deal from golf now. The course itself poses some challenges with wind and water come into play. Greens were receptive so we were able to fire at the pins. The GPS offered was definitely an added plus providing us with yardages. Fairways were great and fast. Lots of scenic holes however I was disapointed the sound didn t come into play more . As you wind around the course you get the feeling as you get closer to the sound that some beautiful holes on the sound are approaching and it never happens. 2 holes with visual of sound but not in play. The staff was awesome from arrival to departure. Greeted as słoń as I arrived, bag taking care of, pro shop was happy to tale care of me even playing for free. Starter was professional and informativeand gote off quickly. Pace of play was 3.5 hours for
2 of us. I would definitely recommend this course but wait for a hot deal!!! Nags Head Links, Carolina Club and Kilmarlic give th a run for your money with better rates!!
