Cedarbrook Country Club

This was one of the best values I've ever found on GolfNow the course the greens were in great shape the club pro zim zimmermen went out of his way to thank us for driving up from Charlotte as you're in town from Tampa to see the ACC Championship his son Taylor in the Pro Shop was awesome also just most friendliest staff ever and top of that a couple locals David and Austin were the friendliest to people I've ever played with thank you to the whole staff and locals up there

First time playing Cedarbrook in many years. Some nice improvements have been made since I played it last, most notably removal of a few trees and lengthening some of the back tee boxes. The area received about 3" of rain the night before I played but course was in great shape. I scored a Hot Buy on golfnow and played for $16. Probably best deal I've ever gotten. Staff is genuinely happy to see you. I played as a single in just over 2 hours, even though carts were restricted to the paths only due to the soggy conditions. Well worth a little extra drive the play at such a nice course at a great pace!

Course in great shape - no bad lies! Putts on these greens always a challenge. Staff alert to busy day speed of play - moved 2 3/4 hr. nine-hole foursome around to restart. Result was one-hour fifty minute back nine for our four-some. Hats off to Zem!

Enjoyed the layout and the greens were in great shape. Staff was accommodating. Played a twosome and finished the round in 3 hours, thanks to a foursome letting us go through on #10.

I played with two guys that I met there. Had a great time. The course was in excellent condition in perfect weather. But on the 10th tee box, a couple of new guys just cut the line and played at the front of us. Apparently they might be more group started on the back nine. In general, the pace of play was not a fast as the front nine.

Course was in great shape even after all the rain the past few days. It was packed so we ended up playing 9 with a member. Very enjoyable round. The second nine was a bit slow for the walkers not letting us through. It was well worth the hot deal amount of 19.50. But golfnow keeps going up with fees and tee times. Im starting to book from other sites because of this.

Always challenging. Best value around. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Looking forward to seeing the most recent remodeling mature.

Great stop while heading on 77 South. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. The course was in great shape, even though it was really dry. The greens were in excellent shape, even though extremely difficult. If you want to score well, you must keep the ball below the hole. All in all, I would recommend this course to anyone. I will return anytime I head south.Heck, they even have scorecards on the 2nd tee, incase your buddy is a moron (which he is), and doesn't get one from the clubhouse.

Cedarbrook is a challenging and hilly course that is always well cared for. The greens were slow when we were there but they are well groomed. The course is well worth the green fees and I always enjoy playing it.

After seeing an ad for this course on Facebook, I booked two Hot Deal tee times, and my buddy and I drove an hour and twenty minutes to the course. On first glance it looked pretty good. The practice area was ok, but the putting green was covered with some kind of grass I've never seen. We were told that it was bent grass, but I don't think it was. The grain rain twenty different directions and the green speed was about a 5. Since we got a Hot Deal, we decided to go ahead and play anyway. One hour and twenty minutes after teeing off, we were waiting in the 4th fairway to hit our approach shots to the green. Yes, An hour and twenty minutes to play 3 and a half holes. RIDICULOUS! The group in front of us was 2 men and 1 woman hitting from three different tee boxes, and hitting into the woods and/or water on every hole, then spending 10 - 15 minutes or more looking for balls or fishing for every ball they could see in the pond. After waiting 20 minutes for that group to finish and leave the hole, we decided to leave. NO ranger anywhere to be seen. As we drove backwards to the clubhouse, the first three tees we passed had two foursomes each waiting and a third group in their fairways waiting on the groups on the greens. We told them all that we hoped they were ready for a 7 hour round of golf. We drove straight to the parking lot, unloaded the cart, took the cart back and started looking for another place to play. We never went in the clubhouse because we knew it was no use and we didn't want a raincheck because we have no intention of ever going back there. We got tee times for $21 at River Oaks Country Club just west of Statesville, NC, and went and had a wonderful time playing there. This course used to be called Buffalo Shoals Golf Club, but it has a new owner and he has spent a fortune redoing the course and I highly recommend it! The greens rolled true and fast. The bermuda grass in the fairways was about 50% green, but when all the grass comes out of dormancy, the fairways will be very nice. We definitely will go back to River Oaks.

Four of us played on the way home. Spring conditions but still in good shape. Good variety of holes and elevations. Good test from whites-it was cool and windy.Staff were very friendly-thanks Zif.

Excellent experience all the way around. Staff was wonderful. Played an extra 9 at a great price. Most challenging part about the course were the greens. You really have to hit to the right level. If not three putts are very common. Would definitely love to play this course again.
