About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

First timer
Great location, friendly staff, course in good shape and challenging. Will want to play there again as I am from out of town.
Scenic and challenging
Beautiful, lots of ways to get into trouble but fun! Tee boxes on certain holes were poorly groomed but otherwise course was in decent shape.
Great Course for the Money
I had a 2pm weekday tee time for 40$. This was an opportunity to play this course after a 5 year hiatus. It definately needs some TLC and the greens were aerated recently but on the whole, it was worth this price so I recommend it. I would not pay more. Layout is difficult because it's tight and balls are easily lost in the thick vegetation. Course was empty so we played in 3+ hours. That was fabulous.
Not good course conditions
Like the layout of the course but tee box sand traps and some of the fairways needs work $15-20 to expensive
Grass on Fairways
Grass is nice on fairways. Bunkers groomed. Greens are showing a lot of wear. They are bumpy, for some reason ball marks aren’t healing. If greens are important to you, this course may disappoint. Price to play is pretty steep, but you pay about 30% more due to location. On the other hand, because of the cost, fewer players, therefore pace of play is great. Compared to Fox Hollow and Dunedin, this course has way more grass on fairways!
Great staff
Always treated with respect. Course is in remarkable condition. Water dispenser filled and cold and cart services present 3-4 times per round.
Great course
Second time played here and course in great shape again. A couple of dry tee boxes but greens were in great. In a nice residential community and lots of greenery. Got a good deal on GolfNow.
Bit pricey
We played this course around 1030 on a Wednesday. The wind was blowing about 30 mph steadily so we chose to play up a tee box. Probably should have played the mixed tees because some of the fairways we could hit through. Greens were good shape and plenty of grass on the fairways for this time of year. $121 was a bit more than it was worth, $75 $80 should have been rate.
Fun but demanding
Came down from the Northeast after a 4 month winter hibernation to play a week of golf in Tampa area. It was 20+ years since I played here last and I forgot what a good test of golf it is. Should’ve probably played it later in the week instead of day one. Very friendly staff and good layout. Greens and fairways were in decent shape considering the lack of rain and cold weather they have been having. Pace of play was excellent.
BE CAREFULL
course has a very good layout and challenging holes. gps would help if on cart. fairways were fair if you found grass. terrible greens. bumpy, slow. would have to think twice if I were to play again

Love the Ohio State Buckeyes theme. We all enjoyed it ..
Nice layout
Nice place to play a little wet in places believe it or not. Greens were slow but not too bad. Conditions were fair to good.
