This is a really good layout for the most part, a couple of holes are alongside a road that runs through the course, which are my least favorite, and then there are some fabulous holes that are some of the best in the Vegas valley.

The greens were punched and very spongy, and I didn’t care for the grass. I prefer Desert Willow greens by FAR! The fairways were pretty good. There is a type of grass in the rough that is thin, and the ball doesn’t sit up. I wish it were thicker so you could get a better chance of hitting the ball… but it is the rough, and so it definitely penalizes you for missing the fairways or greens.

I’ve played here a few times over the years, and it is definitely getting better.

You go on Stallion Mountain's website and the first thing they say is that the course is in "fantastic shape, with excellent greens". When you get there the greens are punched, spongy, fuzzy, and slow. Every putt needed to be hammered and there was zero smoothness. But don't worry, it will drop if you get the ball near the hole, because the cups haven't moved been moved in several days.

The grounds are beautiful. The course layout is great although it's a bit of a walk from the cart path to the tee/green. Carts were comfortable and moved quick. Tee box grass was a little long but were in were in decent enough condition. There was no GPS on the carts and of course the budget hacks who play here abused it.

I just don't know if I'm giving it another chance. It's been like this every year the past 3 years. The big bare dirt patches on the greens are gone, but they're still unplayable for any remotely serious golfer.

Pace of play was good and course was in good shape tee to green. Not a lot of trouble spots so you won’t be frustrated.

I golfed this course this morning and was very disappointed. We started 20 minutes past our scheduled tee time, and it took us 3.5 hours to get through the 12th hole. At that pace, the round would have taken almost six hours, including the late start. I couldn’t stay that long and had to leave without finishing.

I recognize that slower play is common at many public courses, especially on a Saturday morning, but this was excessive. The course was in decent shape, but having to leave without finishing because of excessive delays made this a poor value. I won’t be returning any time soon.

Course was good and staff friendly. Game was slow as we had a group of 5 in front of us who were not good golfers and only saw the Marshall on the first hole.

Pizza place is very slow. They had twosomes and fives playing crazy.

Greens did not roll true and were bumpy. Fairways and rough were average. For the price we paid it was an excellent value.

My only issue is the marshal has to pushed the slow players. Mostly every hole we had to wait.

We played yesterday and found the course to be in good shape with friendly staff.

The fairways are forgiving and the greens are smooth. A good value in Las Vegas.

I played this course twice and it was a good time. Wide open fairways for beginner/intermediate golfers and great pace of play. For reference we played on a Friday with a 1244 tee time. The price was $130 for non residents which was on the higher end for this type of course. In all, we had a great time but overcharging visitors has become a standard that discourages visitors from playing

I must say the course was in very good shape, and the pace was also pretty good and improved. I was worried after the first hole as we teed off at 11am and teed off on hole 2 at 1135. Front nine was slow but picked up the back. I can live with 4.5 hours and probably would have finished in 4 if hole 2 wasn't backed up. But I will continue to play this course and kudos to the staff in the improvements that they have made.

Course has a nice layout and the greens ran true however there’s no reason to wait on every hole when starting play on a midweek morning.

I do not know how the locals put up with this nonsense.
