North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Been better
Course isnt in the best of conditions. Tee boxes not trimmed and have shrubs. Shrubs on the greens. Fairways spotty. My biggest complaint might be the black seats on the carts. Whichever side was in the sun while we were putting, they got their buns toasted upon returning. Price is always too high for the course.
North Shore Golf
The greens were in very bad shape. Fairways pretty much same as the ruff
The only minor issue is the GPS will stop the cart on several fairways. I’m a local and play North Shore weekly. It’s a challenging course. The pace of play is good too. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Not for beginners
Form someone with disability limitations that plays from the beginner tees, the course seemed really long even from the white tees… didn’t play my best but I will accept the challenge to try to beat my score the next time I end up going.
Wet, very wet
The course is super wet with all the rain we've had. The water retention areas (3, 7-9, 10, especially) are high. You'll have a lot of plugged balls. The crew is working on the course every time I'm out there. Pro shop staff is great.
Disappointed
First this is a great facility. It's a shame that it's been somewhat let go. Ive played here alot of times in the past. Ive never had poor conditions. The course is playable but alot of the greens are in ruff shape. The price is out of line but a hot deal and a promo is good for now but full price should be out of the question.
Poor Conditons
Turf is in really poor conditions on 75-85% of the course. Fairways and tee boxes were burned out all over and hard to find good turf. There were areas that you weren’t playing from in the fairways that were actually in descent shape but very very rarely where you would play your ball from your tee shot. I don’t know if the recent rains and heat have severely damaged much of the areas but conditions were not good at all. The greens had descent turf for the most part but were really bumpy. I would give this another opportunity when turf conditions are favorable because the layout was actually descent.
Disappointing Condition
I’ve played NS many, many times, however I hadn’t played in more than a year. Very pricey. I decided to play NS because of logistics. I was surprised to find they were charging only $49. I was thinking they must have just aerated. Well, we quickly found out they had lost the course. Where the fairways and greens were generally in great shape, they were now in very, very poor condition, so much so, that I probably won’t return even at $49, unless word gets out that there’s been a major improvement.
Poor condition
From the tee box, to the fairway to the green the course was in terrible condition. Many tee boxes barren of grass. Fairways full of weeds and barren grass, most of the greens had dead areas that were terrible with areas of no grass.
North shore 6/22/26
Course was not in good condition as the fairways were not kept. Greens were grainy and needs some work. Overall, needs improvement
Over charging on rates vs conditions did the course in
We loved the course but it was becoming so over-priced we stopped going. We saw a price of 45 for father's day and decided to go. We should have read the reviews before hand. Fairways were recently eared as well as the greens. It didn't make a difference anyway as the course is now only mowed weeds, If you attempted to hit in the fairway, you have to be careful because some of the weeds have thick roots and you could injure yourself. Absolutely terrible and a rip off.
Course In Terrible Shape
Tee Boxes - Beaten up, and dirt everywhere. Almost no grass.
Fairways - filled with weeds, you can’t even see the grass on the first hole fairway.
Greens - terrible shape. Weeds and large dirt areas on every green.
Good layout but the course need help.
The layout is excellent — well-designed, strategic, and enjoyable to play. However, the fairways were patchy and inconsistent, and the greens were slow, bumpy, and in need of major work.
For the price they charge, it’s simply not worth it. Great design, but the condition doesn’t match the cost.
This place only worries about winter time play, seeding etc, obviously they can’t maintain a golf course year round
