About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Golfer Reviews
North Shore
The back nine was tough and definitely a good challenge. The pace of play was good, and we were able to keep things moving. The greens were so-so and could use some improvement. One downside was the lack of water coolers on the course. Overall, a challenging round with a decent pace of play, but there’s room for improvement.
Best bang for your buck in the afternoons
Its a good, fun course. Very few dirt patches or dead spots. Staff and club house are great. Carts have coolers. Pace of play is usually great with the exception of group here and there with no sense of urgency or willingness to let others play thru. Id recommend it and I always will
Will be back...
The course is in mostly good condition. They have some dead areas, and some weeds on the greens, but most of the dead areas are near the edges so they don't come into play for putting much. Greens have some contour, and a couple of greens have false fronts. Not a lot of bunkering but a few waste areas. Not a lot of forced carries unless you are playing from the Blue or Black tees.
For us shorter hitters they need something between the White (at 5800 yards) and the Red (at 4800). Either a composite, or an additional set of tees.
There are enough changes in elevation that line of sight is sometimes blocked. Carts with GPS (which they usually have, but in this case some had been damaged in a lightning strike) would be useful if you haven't played the course before.
Pace of play was good just slightly under 4 hours for a foursome on a Saturday mid-morning. The course has the first beverage cart I've seen in a while. A very active junior golf program.
Horrible value and conditions
We usually play north shore, love the layout. However the conditions were absolutely unreal. Especially for the price that you are paying. Greens had weeds on every single hole. Fairways were pretty much weed.
Great valee
Have played here several times over the past 5 years and I've always enjoyed the course This summer due to extremely hot weather and heavy rain conditions deteriorated somewhat
Some reviews I have read are excessively critical but my experience was just fine yes the greens have bare spots mostly around the edges and yes there is some weeds in the fairways so what? Unless you are a scratch golfer it should not matter at all I will play here again in the near future in spite of the naysayers
Couldn't ask for a better pace of play as well
Rapid Decline
Shocking to see the course in this condition. Played here a few times earlier in the year and everything was great. That has changed significantly. So much is wrong. Tee boxes are a mess, the fairways are full of crabgrass (FULL) and most of the greens have some sort of fungus that has chewed them up. It's unplayable in many places.
Until I hear from someone that "it's back", this is unfortunately on the do not play list for the foreseeable future.
Very nice course
Greens were plagued with areas of concern - not a lawn dr but suspect fungus or other similar issues. I will return because I appreciated the staff’s friendliness; unlike some other course that make you feel as though you are a bother OR unwelcome. Enjoyed the cart with its GPS and other amenities. Highly recommend.
Been better
Course isnt in the best of conditions. Tee boxes not trimmed and have shrubs. Shrubs on the greens. Fairways spotty. My biggest complaint might be the black seats on the carts. Whichever side was in the sun while we were putting, they got their buns toasted upon returning. Price is always too high for the course.
North Shore Golf
The greens were in very bad shape. Fairways pretty much same as the ruff
