Balfron Golf Club

Came across this course by chance. Although I was playing in the rain course held up well. Lovely surrounding areas around the course. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We came up for a golf week away and gave this course a try. The staff were exceptionally helpful and were kind enough to talk us through the history of the club. The course itself was in very good condition. The fairways were well kept and all the bunkers in good condition. The greens were also playing well and offered a challenge. Obviously the views and location were spectacular. Would highly recommend and will be returning for a round when we are back next year.

First time playing the course and would love to say we enjoyed it. Unfortunately the weather put pay to a full round. We had to walk in after 10holes due to the heavy rain, hail and wind. The course it's self was well layed out, with challenging holes & pin positions. We arrived early to have breakfast, only to discover they had built a new club house and the kitchen was not up and running and nothing open nearby. Would have been good to know this in advance as we had driven 1hr to get to the couslrse, so only option was to have a twix from the vending machine & pay for a cup of tea. Would go back and hopefully get a full 18holea in and hopefully a breakfast in future.

Played on a dry and sunny day so conditions were perfect however ground underfoot was already very dry and well drained despite intermittent rain in the previous days. Greens very fast and well kept, gettable par 4s and tricky par 3s. Par 5 15th has big amen corner vibes on green approach. Staff were warm and friendly on arrival and provided a tour before we set off.

Only downside is the (I assume) temporary clubhouse setup. No real amenities, facilities, pro shop etc. just coffee and vending machine.

Nice course and in good condition well worth playing

I had an exceptional experience at this golf course from start to finish. The course conditions were outstanding—lush, well-kept fairways and greens that rolled smoothly and consistently on every hole. The layout is thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of strategic challenges, scenic views, and enjoyable playability. Each hole has its own personality, with well-placed bunkers, inviting landing areas, and just enough elevation changes to keep the round engaging.

The staff was friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere welcoming right from check-in. The practice facilities were also impressive, providing plenty of space to warm up before the round. After the game, the clubhouse offered a comfortable spot to relax, with good food and a great selection of drinks.

Overall, this course delivers a top-tier golfing experience. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer looking for a challenge or a casual player wanting a relaxing day on the course, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

First time having played this golf course and I will definitely return. Following a spell of heavy rain the golf course was in great condition, in particular the greens were pure considering the weather in previous days. The back 9 has some fantastic holes with excellent scenic views. Friendly and helpful staff / starter. Will 100% return in the future.

Great course with spectacular views well laid out fast greens good variety of shots required unforgiving rough with little chance of finding your ball if you don’t hit the fairway if you’re not the fittest I’d recommend a buggy or at the very least a trolley I’ve been 3 times in the last three weeks as it’s very well priced for what you get especially with the hot deals i would highly recommend it

Balfron is a superb course and you won't find better for the price, will be even better once the club house is finished.

It's a challenging course with a few hills to climb and some ditches to catch you out but the fairways are wide and you shouldn't lose many balls unless you're very wayward . The greens are in excellent condition and the views in the middle of the round are fabulous . The new clubhouse should be finished by the end of the year

Some lovely holes with the streams running through. Great views on a lovely day.

The course has really nice views but it could do with a clubhouse so players can buy a drink or a snack for playing

Lovely course in great condition great panaramic views bit hilly so if your not so fit like me i would recommend a buggy
