Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club

Great course with a nice layout, especially for summer. The course was in excellent condition, and the rangers and staff were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend bringing bug spray, as there are a lot of mosquitoes. The staff were kind enough to provide some, which we really appreciated.

Course was in suburb condition considering the middle of summer. Staff is always great and it’s always a fun day. Future looks very bright with all the new construction of the clubhouse, 1/2 way house, and practice areas. Temporary layout is a little a bit challenging, but manageable.

Lotta sand and quite difficult tee shots…all day long ! Greens are seriously protected with bunkers and the course requires continual thought and execution…nothing forgiving about the place. A great test of golf but be prepared to eat some humble pie !

I was impressed with the practice facility it had an NFL field goal out there to shoot at very cool ! A bit surprised they had neglected to prepare the practice bunkers since a golfer needs to be ready to hit sand shots all day maybe they forgot since not many tee times…

They should definitely add a sand bunker to use to practice fairway bunker shots out to the range !

The course in in great shape, greens in great shape. The best value for any course on the phoenix Area.

Yes they are redoing the clubhouse. But this track is worth the drive. Wide fairways and plenty of sand to have the boys play in.

Great course great price on golf now. Only took 3 hrs being first ones out.

Great course. Tons off fun. Not easy. Rebuilding Clubhouse...who cares. Didnt affect the course. Staff was awesome too.

I love playing this course.currently it is under some construction for new clubhouse but it does not affect the game the only issue is you play the back nine first. The course is in good shape, the staff is very friendly and the food at the turn was very good. Pace was not too bad, it got slow for a few holes but picked up and we were only 30 min off pace. I have already booked my next time for Father’s Day once the new clubhouse is done the experience will be great.

Had a great tims playing one of the best courses in Arizona. Greens were a little dry, but conditions as a whole were outstanding. Lots of construction going on, but the staffs kindness and positivity more than makes up for it.

Still my favorite track in az. Challenging but always true, For this time of the year unreal. Complete renovation in the club house and property front. Going to be unreal. Hope it stays true to its prices because it’s a massive renovation.

Started on 10 today and it was a complete different feel. Loved it. Heard July 8-10th they will punch/aerate. Greens were a tad slower than usual but receptive and even bites with chipping.

Glad I played it would love to play it again. Can’t wait till the facilities are fully open in 2027.

For those that leave a review because the remodeling the clubhouse, has nothing to do with the golf course. This course is always in great shape and as long as you can do your best to stay out as many of the 115 bunkers then it’s usually enjoyable. The pace of play was the only thing to be negative about. Waited most of the day until the back 9

The staff is great. The course and pace of play wasn't worth the hour drive. Much better courses to play if you are staying in Phoenix.

The clubhouse is under construction until May 2027. This place is pure golf at this moment—just the way I like it! I highly recommend playing here to experience pure golf…none of the frills. Enjoy!
