About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Charging too much
This is a good course. Great layout, interesting design, but no way is this a $70 summer course, at least not looking like it does. It's OK, but Fairways are pretty dry, and landscaping leaves alot to be desired. Also, don't understand why the ranger was mean mugging my group, when the duo we caught up to took 24 minutes on 18, filming each other for 5 minutes per shot, btw, and wound up having 3 groups piled behind them. This course and Rio. Fun layout, just mediocre courses charging country club money is crazy.
Better than I remembered
We played a few years ago when we were in Orlando visiting our son. We walked the course and enjoyed it. This time both of us said it was better than we remembered.
Great time back in town
A great time, upgraded facilities are looking good. Driving range is amazing for warm ups. Time spacing was good. Unfortunately the consistent smell from the tavern was constantly inviting me to dinner!! Greens were awesome! Fairways good, keep up the good work. Put a shelter on 5 somewhere for storm relief. Thanks! An enjoyable day! See ya soon!
Do not go
I wouldn’t suggest playing this course for at least 6 months the greens currently look like a jigsaw puzzle but the staff won’t tell you that. Also there is zero pace of play management.
Perfect
Dubsdread Golf & GC in Orlando turned out to be one of the best golf days yet in Florida, booked on GolfNow $120 for both of us(senior rate lol) the counter staff, the starter the food shack girl all had personalities go figure!! Herman the pro, Calvin the starter were totally there for the people, informed and entertaining. Course was in pristine condition pace of play was excellent. Joan kicked my but fought back to no avail. I recommend this if your in Orlando
Good
Course was in good shape for this time of year in FL. All staff met expectations from club drop off to pick up and all in between.
Golfing Round
Staff was Very friendly and willing to assist in all fashion. I attended Edgewater High School that’s directly across from the course I have walked through the course for many years but never played it. The ground enjoyed the round, can’t wait to play their again.
