The par 71 features hole #12, touted as "the hardest par 3 I ever designed" by Pete Dye Photo submitted by u000003790453 on 09/20/2019
Great Track!!
Awesome layout & in great condition!
And the cart staff was extremely nice & professional. We felt like MEMBERS!!
This is a must play!!
Enjoyed The Day
Not overly crowded for a Saturday afternoon, which may have been due to greens having been aerated 10 days ago. (Which we had been told) A bit bumpy and inconsistent but not bad considering. We were scheduled to play as a foursome but starter let us go off early as a twosome since there was no one immediately in front of us. Made it around with minimal wait in well under 4 hours. Sand traps had small pebbles in spots and could use some cleaning out but overall the course was in good shape for the time of year. Starter (Jeremy?)could not have been any nicer and helpful, he even rode out to make sure play was moving smoothly. We weren’t members but were addressed by name and made to feel welcome and appreciated . Will definitely return.
Great course
Challenging lay-out and fun to play. Beautiful views and we'll maintained.
Perfect Pete Dye design
Great courses. Back nine has amazing design.
Between tee box and green are all brown in February but greens are fantastic, pure and fast.
Definitely coming back when it gets warmer.
Price was amazing after promo code to golfnow hot deal.
My GPS (bushnell phantom) shows this course as Sedgefield CC Dye course.
Fun/Challenging Track
Great layout that was fun and challenging. The pro shop and club house was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to play in the summer when it’s drier than I winter. Definitely coming back.
Great Day!
Had a wonderful time today. The staff was OUTSTANDING, and while the golf course was a little soggy from yesterday's rain, this is still a BEAR! Tough, but fair.
Can't wait to tee it up again soon!
Very Difficult Course
This probably the hardest course I have ever played. Prepare for you game to be challenged, and do not make the same mistake I did - choose your tees wisely. The course is long to begin with, especially for a par 71 (played the 6500 yard tees) but the day we played the fairways hadn't been cut in sometime and the were rather wet after some rain making it exceptionally long. That being said this is an excellent golf course with a classic Pete Dye design, tight off the tee with elevated greens that have plenty of undulation and are slick plus plenty of sand around them. The course was in great shape although the fairways needed mowing, but otherwise an excellent course that is well worth the price. I plan to go back and give it another try.
Pretty, but tough course.
First time playing so I wasn't familiar with layout. A little tough for average golfer but still fun. Look forward to playing again sometime.
must play
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways were beautiful greens rolled perfectly and it has the hardest par 3 Pete Dye ever designed. See picture.
Aerofied Greens
Courses inform GolfNow that their greens are aerofied and GolfNow delays providing golfers this information. Something I do not appreciate with GolfNow.
Really nice round of golf
Beautiful course conveniently located in NW Greensboro by the airport. The course was in fabulous shape and well maintained. And, impossible to beat for the price. The club has moved from private to semi-private, and the facilities outside of the actual course seem to be neglected and showing signs of being rundown for the most part. The staff appeared to not want to be there as well, but for a $25 round, I can live with that.
Fine layout
Greens had been punched earlier in the week(which we knew) so they were pretty bumpy. Some of the traps were mud with little sand, but otherwise Course was in decent shape for this time of year. Hopefully punching the greens will help get them back in shape for fall .Play was slow due to foursome in front being several holes behind, so it would be nice to send out someone from the pro shop once in a while to keep things moving as groups were backed up most of the day. Unfortunately, that’s a.common problem with most courses. Good layout, and you’l Use all of your clubs.
Very nice course
Great course for all levels of play
Course is not available on any GPS app and they want to charge $20 for a yardage book - no thanks
Also there were no hole markers at the tee box so it was difficult to know which hole you were on
Otherwise had a good time and would play the course again
Top 5 course I've ever played
Condition of the course was perfect. Staff was friendly, played it for the first time and I'll be back for sure
Awesome course
One of my new favorites. A challenging course but room to make up for errors
Love next to the Cardinal and never played before. My Mistake
Played the Dye Cardnal course today and only living a half a mile from the course(I am a member at another private club in town), I was really impressed with everything from the cheerful employees and friendly staff to the very nicely manicured and smooth bent greens.Played the tips and shot 79 and could not have been happier. The par 3 on the back 9 plying 220 with the Dye plaque as the hardest par 3 he ever designed,I agree ! I will be back.
Big fan!
Heard that he course was going to be tough through friends but I enjoyed it. Great course to play in Greensboro, especially for 28 bucks. I’ll be back soon.
