Forest Oaks Country Club

Greens were aerified this week, both GN and staff at the course notified us of this. A lot of sand on the greens, but nothing you don't expect when they have been punched. Thr rest of the course was in excellent shape. Paired up with one other golfer, we teed off around 1:20 and finished by 3:40. We did not wait on one shot all day as no one was near us and made great time. I saw only two other groups the entire round, one was on 18 while we were on 10 and one on 10 while we were on 18.

A couple of holes were undergoing renovation, still a great course to play on a wet day. Course drains extremely well.

Course was in very good condition, especially the greens. Despite the holiday weekend, moved around well in less than 4 hrs. This place keeps getting better.

The course should have informed us that only the back nine was open due to aerating the front nine. Plus we got yelled at by a “ranger” that was playing and alleges we were playing slow. We weren’t. All the older “members” play from the ladies tees thus play half the course as anyone else plays. Therefore yes, we might have been playing slow for someone playing half the distance. The course was in great shape other than not seeing the front nine.

Seems like each time I decide to play, they are working on the course, either aerating or sanding the greens. Maybe it is just bad timing on my part. Today I had to play 10-18 twice since the front 9 was closed. In their defense, they did offer free range balls and water as it was 90+ degrees. Maybe I will be luck to play the course again as a full 18 holes in the condition as was intended without surprises. Staff has always been courteous and.a complement to the golf ⛳ club.

Excellent round all around. Fantastic staff, tremendous conditions, steady pace of play and my best round ever.

We found this course on Golf Now while searches for places to play in the Greensboro area. To say that we were blown away by our experience would be an understatement. This course was gorgeous, had plenty of amenities for anyone who comes to the country club (member or now) and was the best price we have ever seen for a PGA-level course. The staff was so friendly and everything was top-notch. We couldn't believe that we were able to play at such. great course for only $40, on the weekend. We cannot wait to come back and will gladly drive the 2 hours to get here, based on our first experience.

Staff is awesome. Practice facilities are good. Bent greens roll pure but were slow given all the rain. Members were really nice and happy. Has hosted PGA Tour events. Layout is solid. Hole #12 is a fantastic golf hole. Par 3s are challenging with several above 200 yards. Really fun approach shots. Par 5s protected by some ridiculously contoured greens with false fronts. Back 9 is stronger than front 9. If you are debating whether or not to play Fair Oaks, just go. You will be very happy.

One word describes my round at Forest Oaks. OUTSTANDING!

After a nightmare of conditions at my last two rounds at other courses (no need to mention where) Forest Oaks breathed a hurricane of fresh air. Fantastic fairways, welcoming greens and manicured tee boxes. Professional courtesy from the pro shop to the greens keepers. Can't wait to return. Thanks for revitalizing my game!

Course was in very good shape with a few exceptions that it seems they are working on. Some bunkers seemed like they were recently edged but were lacking in sand. Other bunkers seemed to have new sand in them so maybe they are working on them.

They were actually replacing asphalt on the cart paths, which is very needed.

The greens were on the slow side.

The golf carts are upscale and very nice,. Beer easy to access with coolers and ice provided.
