Blair Park Golf Course

About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

Reviews
Enjoyed the round
We like this course and will be back. This is a nice layout and reasonably priced. Today the greens were bumpy, aerated not long ago and lacking sand in the aeration. Tees, fairways and bunkers were in nice condition. See ya again
Always a fun course to play. Was in great shape and not too crowded on this Saturday so pace of play was excellent. Staff there is always so friendly
Great course
For the money it was great, the concessions was excellent and was the food. Definitely will be returning.
Good Muni
Blair Park is a good muni at a good price. The course is in ok shape. The greens had a good bit of weeds in them and were really slow, but they rolled ok. Other than that the grass was cut. Its kind of a quirky layout. Two par 5s to start, and 3 par 5s on the front for a total of par 37 on the front. There is only 1 par 5 on the back for a par of 35. You cross a residential street a couple of times, and the course defintely favors a left to right ball flight from a right hander. If you are looking for a value round its worth a play bc of the price.
