About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

of all of the courses I play in the piedmont triad, this is definitely my favorite. staff is extremely friendly, course in good shape, and it's inexpensive to play.

Meets expectations except pace of play.
Enjoyable course for average golfer except for excruciating pace of play. Took 5.5 hours to play 18 - in a cart!. I saw several golfers who had no earthly idea what they were doing. Course has a Ranger but was probably overwhelmed at the sheer numbers of novice slow players. Great Muni course. Just don't make dinner plans.

Rude staff awful pace of play
Book at tee time for 3:39 and was told I wouldn’t finish 18 holes and it really just felt as if they didn’t want to be there saying carts back in at 6:45 and the isolated part of the course with a few holes the ranger was a jerk telling us he locks the gates at 6:15 …… with 3 groups in front of us on a weekend they will threaten to lock you in. On top of that the new hire they had was screaming on his phone cussing and saying tons of slurs on the phone for everyone to hear. Will honestly never recommend this to course to anyone or will i ever return

Better than average municipal!
This course is not long, however you must be able to move the ball in two directions or you will not score well. Better fairway grass than some private clubs in the area. The scenery is not the greatest as the course utilized the power line acreage to carve a nice little track in the middle of high point. I was pleasantly surprised. I will be back. The only drawback no driving range as there is no space for one. They have a hitting net for warm-up.

I LOVE Blair Park!
I play Blair Park 2-3 times a week; it's my go-to course when I want to work on my game. The fairways are beautiful, greens are okay (have a little crabgrass starting to come in); layout is fairly easy on most holes. Front side Par 3's can be somewhat challenging. Par 5's are pretty easy. The staff is ABOSOLUTELY magnificent! Chip and Cailin are great, great people! I also play at two other local courses (Oak Hollow and Jamestown) and this is BY FAR the place to go! Staff is definitely friendlier than other two places. And, as a senior walker, you can't beat the price - which is part of the reason why I'm still living in North Carolina. Golf is cheaper here, as a whole, than anywhere else I've played in the country.

Great value
I don't know why I stopped playing this course. But now I really enjoy it. The fairways and greens are in great condition for a course that is inexpensive. I recommend this course to anyone looking to play affordable golf.

Wish they would redo the greens.
Blair Park is my go to course if I want to just go out by myself in the afternoon and play a relaxing round. Its never a hassle getting on and usually not overly crowded on weekday afternoons. The layout is nothing special and it's a short easy course but from the back tees it's a little more of a challenge. I really wish they would redo the greens using one of the newer dwarf Bermuda strains. The greens are really grainy and slow. I'm a scratch golfer and a decent putter but on these greens it's pretty much pure luck if you make putts. That's my only gripe with the course. The staff is awesome, fairways are lush and a great place to work on your game...just not putting.

Great value for the money
Course was very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly. They have a hole closed on front 9 for construction. Greens were in great shape for this time of year.
