Oak Hollow Golf Course

If you are in the area, you have to make time to play Oak Hollow. I will be back as soon as possible!

Course conditions were disappointing. Greens were slow and very bumpy. Apparently the golfers who play there regularly don't fix their ball marks.

This is a hilly course with plenty of uphill/downhill/sidehill lies. At least half of the tees were not level. The problem with the layout is that far too many shots were to blind landing zones. Fortunately there was very light play so we just went forward many times to see where we had to make the shots.

To play this course well you need to be familiar with the layout and where to hit the ball. I was able to keep the ball in the fairway most of the time. But the rough was deep enough that my playing partner lost a lot of balls there - again, often a problem with blind shots.

Bunkers had hard and ungroomed sand. Many had puddles

I checked "recommend to a friend" but only on the condition that weather hasn't prevented course maintenance from grooming the bunkers and trimming the rough.

Signs are needed near 17th green directing to the 18th hole. When you follow the cart path to the right of the green you end up in the road with no way to get over to the 18th tee.

Greens were well designed, but could be kept a little better. Bring extra balls, can get tricky off the tee. Great value!

Oak Hollow delivered another outstanding golf experience.

The staff is always friendly, helpful, and professional.

I was part of a foursome and walked 18 holes for $13. Definitely great exercise with several steep hills on both nines.

Didn't play well but enjoyed the challenge, camaraderie of the group, and scenery.

Conditions are spotty, somewhat due to recent rain.

I highly recommend Oak Hollow as a top public course.

Staff friendly and accommodating, fantastic greens and fairways. A true gem of a course except. THE RANGERS HAVE TO MOVE THE SLOWER GROUPS ALONG... PLEASE!

Started my round as a twosome and ended up a foursome because of a foursome in front of a three some. 5 hours to complete my round.. These clowns were taking 2 foot putts. Please you've got to be kidding. Rangers, do your job.

Oak Hollow always delivers an outstanding golf experience.

On a hot day, I played for $14 in less than 4 hours.

The staff is helpful, friendly, and professional.

Condition tee to green was good. Greens are medium speed.

I highly recommend Oak Hollow to everyone.

Played Oak Hollow for the first time in a year and I may not ever go back. This course is in horrible condition and the worst thing was the rough,it was 2 feet deep in a lot of areas and those areas should have been mowed in the last week. In our group of 3 we lost a dozen balls. For a public course you expect more,I will be calling the High Point Parks and Recreation to file a formal complaint with the city. $40 was way too much to play a course in these conditions

Oak Hollow golf course is a very beautiful layout around Oak Hollow Lake. The fairways were beautiful cut close. The greens were slow but that was ok. The only negative is that people didn’t repair their ball marks on the greens.

Oak hollow is always a challenging layout and always a good value for the price. Pace was as expected for a Saturday morning tee time. Green speeds were slow as usual but still challenging layout.

Great front 9 for scoring. Back 9 is more difficult.

Greens were super slow and soft. But it did rain yesterday. Wish more people would repair their ball marks.

Oak Hollow fared well, even on a hot, humid day.

Great value to walk at $13 for 18 holes. Note: I ended playing 9 holes to the heat and got a credit toward a future 9.
