Challenging Golf with great value
Always have enjoyed playing Monroe. I'd say the rough was a bit longer than normal probably due to upcoming tournament. Conditions were very good, they work extremely hard at taking care of this historical course.

Great course...very challenging!
My group plays there often and is never disappointed. The course is always in great condition, and playing the Ross nine is always great, and I also enjoy the back nine, which is a very different challenge.

Booked tee times online, paid the 15 or so to reserve. Get to course and had to pay another 60!! Not really worth the value, and the cashier says "half of your deposit will be returned." Nice, but not sure when, and not a great deal. Would great to get the deal that was posted but cashier had no idea about anything. Front 9 were tight and unforgiving. Greens very small, and pin placements were so close to sides. Back 9 was much nicer and manicured. Should play back 9 2x. Really a straight course, maybe 3 dog legs. Fast greens.

A gem in suburban Charlotte!
I rarely do these reviews. For $30, you're getting one of the finest in the area. Many competing courses charge double this!
I will definitely make this course part of my circuit. Greens were fast - much faster than other public courses around here.
