Good course for the money.
Enjoyed playing Monroe Country Club. The 2 nines are vastly different in design as we all know, but both are in decent shape. My recommendation would be to put a hybrid set of tees on the card because of the length of the blue tees on the back nine. That would get the back nine down 150 - 200 yds. and keep the length decent.
Best Option in the Area
Great course at half the price of some that aren’t nearly as well kept. Greens were immaculate and pace of play wasn’t terrible for a Saturday. All you can ask for.
Great course and value
Everything was in great shape. The only negative is that the driving range is very far away.
Challenging Golf with great value
Always have enjoyed playing Monroe. I'd say the rough was a bit longer than normal probably due to upcoming tournament. Conditions were very good, they work extremely hard at taking care of this historical course.
Very fast and challening greens.
Great course...very challenging!
My group plays there often and is never disappointed. The course is always in great condition, and playing the Ross nine is always great, and I also enjoy the back nine, which is a very different challenge.
Would become a member if course was closer to home
Would become a member, but course is 45 min from home. Love the course, well maintained, and great greens! Staff is great, pace of play is good.
Good back 9
Booked tee times online, paid the 15 or so to reserve. Get to course and had to pay another 60!! Not really worth the value, and the cashier says "half of your deposit will be returned." Nice, but not sure when, and not a great deal. Would great to get the deal that was posted but cashier had no idea about anything. Front 9 were tight and unforgiving. Greens very small, and pin placements were so close to sides. Back 9 was much nicer and manicured. Should play back 9 2x. Really a straight course, maybe 3 dog legs. Fast greens.
