Fun course
The course was in great shape. Greens where fairly quick. If you’re walking beware it is a hike from 9 to 10. This round 9 was closed so we played 7 over from 180 yards to make up our missed par 3. Definitely will play this course a lot.
Great Course on Hot Day
The course is in excellent condition from tee to green. The greens were fast. With a tee time before 8am, I normally finish in under 4 hours. This time it took a little more than four because the group in front were spraying balls over the place. No biggie. Just noticed it more, because it was a hot day. This course is a great value considering the price and condition of other courses. I'll be back soon.
Like the front 9 but love the back 9
Greens & layout on the front 9 are just weird
The back 9 is much more golfer friendly
Excellent condition & the price is right
First time won’t be last
A friend had been wanting to play here and I finally booked. GREAT COURSE. The layout was excellent, greens were immaculate, fairways well maintained. I will be back. The only drawback was the foursome in front would not let us play through (we were a twosome) and they were not the fastest players. Thought the starter would’ve monitored that but oh well still a great course
Monroe Country club
Greens in great shape. Fairly fast and narrow. True reads. Fairways are in good shape as well. Very different feel front vs back 9. Different course designers. Fun to play. Fair course.
A fun test
A test of your game from two different 9s. Front side Donald Ross, like all other Ross layouts, puts a premium on the short game. The back is more wooded, and park like layout, with more opportunities to score well. I played early, with a walker, and we played at a very enjoyable pace.
Great course
The course was in great condition. Greens were fast, fairways were dry, sand traps were well maintained. Good value. Course was not crowded.
Great Morning
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was excellent for a Friday morning. Cant wait to come back
Best value in town!
Monroe CC is a gem! I try and play there every time I get out. Greens are always in great shape and for the money you just can’t beat it.
Great Course To Play
Everything was above par. Highly recommend this course. All was 5 stars except the greens had just been verticut. Try it out.
Nice course, friendly staff
First time playing this course. We all, foursome, enjoyed the course and look forward to playing again. Very fast greens.
Slightly Below Average For This Time of Year
For starters, the Greens were terrible. Looked okay from a distance but were 45% spray paint. Greens rolled extremely fast. Played Emerald Lake the weekend prior and i'd say Monroe's greens were twice as fast. Staff was decent. Went to Tee off at 1 but starter was no where to be found. If from Matthews, Charlotte, Stallings, etc. not worth the drive.
Warm winter Sunday
Pace of play was wonderful. Four hour round and the two of us were paired up with another twosome. I couldn’t believe the pace of play was so great on a warm, sunny, winter day when everyone was out playing. Greens are true and in amazing shape.
Course Drainage
The course was extremely wet. There was a lot of rain over the past week, but drainage was very poor. The greens were in great condition despite how soaking wet the fairways were.
Still Great
The greens at Monroe Country Club continue to be some of the best in the area. The layout is great with 2 very different 9’s. The fairway bermuda is going dormant now but it’s still good. But it’s the greens that continue to impress. Very fair price for a great golf experience.
Great greens
Probably best greens in the area. Approach shot is a good challenge too.
