River Bend YMCA Golf Course

Riverbend is a great local course. You will be hard pressed to find a more friendly staff. And they have some of the best greens anywhere. I’ve played a few big name courses and I’m telling you their greens are as good as those courses, especially now that the weather has warmed some. The fairways, rough, and tees are just starting to get some green in them. The layout is fun without killing the average golfer. We had about a 4.5 hour round. Which you should expect on weekends. All in all a great round. And you will be very happy with what you get for the price.

A beautiful spring day, although a cart path only day due to the previous wet conditions left great opportunity to get more exercise in walking to your ball. Tees and greens were in excellent shape, fairways are beginning to green and were very soft in areas but played well. A great value for the price and the friendly helpful staff is certainly a great benefit. Will play again and look forward to advancing spring conditions.

Riverbend is always great. Is February so of course fairways are dormant but us to be expected. Great greens(a little slow compared to their normal speed) but rolled true. Staff always very friendly. Was another great day at the course. Can't wait for the fairways to spring back to life. When they do this course's conditions can match or surpass others.

Best course and greens around the area, even in the winter time the greens are awesome. If your looking for a nice course this is it and for the money it cost to play, it's a no brainer. My favorite course by far .

We had a great time playing this course for the 1st time. Will be back for sure.

Best course within 50 miles of Charlotte for the money.

I love playing at Riverbend. The greens are the best around and great layout. The course needs a ranger to ensure players are keeping up pace of play. We were a 3some and it took 5 hours to play a round. The 4 some in front of us were taking their time and had the 4th player join after 5th hole. It is usually busy but wasn’t on this day and it still was slow.

Fairways and roughs in good condition, although roughs in some areas are kept very long, slowing play while looking for balls. Sand traps in excellent condition with new sand and kept fluffy with deep raking. Greens putted true, were medium speed on most holes, held the approach shot. These improvements made for an enjoyable round. Thank you to the grounds crew.

As the one of the leaders of a group of golfers 187 strong, Every time we play this course, we're treated great, the course is always in great shape. We had the Jamz tour of Charlotte championship on a Thursday and couldn't have been happier. This is one of many courses we play throughout Charlotte NC, Asheville, Greenville NC and Columbia SC. This is by far one of the best public courses that still give you private country club course feel. If the clubhouse was bigger, it would all 5 stars but the staff more than make up for that. I highly recommend this course to everyone as a must play
