Best kept secret in the upstate
Love the course! The price is unmatched for a course of this quality. The greens are as good as any in a 100 mile radius.
River Bend
WOW! This course was on far better shape than what I expected! I was totally impressed with the course as it had been almost 20 years since I’d played it. Grounds crew has done an amazing job and it has by far some of the best greens I’ve ever played on. Great job team.

Incredible Value
Great value at this course. Greens and conditions good and they layout is fun. Only reason I put 4 stars for pace of play is because there was a 35 minute wait on the first tee. We’re not sure what the cause was but I think the starter could have been a little stricter on the groups in front of us. However, if you are considering making the short trip from Charlotte like we did, it is worth checking out!
Incredible conditions
The course is really good maintained. I wish my suppliers would do this maintenance on their machines...
Excellent golf course found.
We were attending a wedding in South Carolina and we found this nice course. The greens were excellent and the staff was super nice. The layout was challenging but not too bad. I shot even on the front nine and 5 over on the back nine. My wife played as well and the women's tees were very friendly.
Solid Public Golf
Got our to RiverBend yesterday for the first time since last summer. It is a still a solid public golf course, and has some of the very best greens around. They have done alot of tree work, and have had ALOT of trees cut down. Especially between 1/9/18 and around 12. So a good bit of rough is marked GUR in that area. But other than that the course is in good shape. We played the day after we got 5-6 inches of rain in 2 days. It was cart path only, but you expected that. I also expected balls to plug, and bunkers to be unplayable. However, I was wrong. The staff had gotten the bunkers fluffed up by 10:30 when we teed off and not 1 had standing water in it that I could see. They got the tees cut as well. The fairways were a bit long but that was understandable, but I was amazed at how dry they were. The greens were absolutely great. They always are-the best around.
The prices are some of the best and most reasonable around. If you get the chance, go give it a play.
Great Course
Got caught behind a tournament that was running late, but overall good experience, pace picked up on back 9 and the course was beautiful and you can see they are actively working to maintain and make it even better. Will definitely be there again to play.
