Love Riverbend
Best course within 50 miles of Charlotte for the money.
Great Course, Pace of Play an Issue
I love playing at Riverbend. The greens are the best around and great layout. The course needs a ranger to ensure players are keeping up pace of play. We were a 3some and it took 5 hours to play a round. The 4 some in front of us were taking their time and had the 4th player join after 5th hole. It is usually busy but wasn’t on this day and it still was slow.

Sand traps significantly improved
Fairways and roughs in good condition, although roughs in some areas are kept very long, slowing play while looking for balls. Sand traps in excellent condition with new sand and kept fluffy with deep raking. Greens putted true, were medium speed on most holes, held the approach shot. These improvements made for an enjoyable round. Thank you to the grounds crew.

Jamz Golf tour of Charlotte
As the one of the leaders of a group of golfers 187 strong, Every time we play this course, we're treated great, the course is always in great shape. We had the Jamz tour of Charlotte championship on a Thursday and couldn't have been happier. This is one of many courses we play throughout Charlotte NC, Asheville, Greenville NC and Columbia SC. This is by far one of the best public courses that still give you private country club course feel. If the clubhouse was bigger, it would all 5 stars but the staff more than make up for that. I highly recommend this course to everyone as a must play
Challenging course if played from the correct tees
Fairways and roughs in good condition. Sand traps were hard packed. Green held the approach somewhat, rolled true, were medium speed.
One thing I am surprised they are offering coffee for purchase or free.
Great Condition, Slow Pace of Play
Have played this course multiple times in the recent months. Overall the course quality is in great condition. The only downside of this course is that the course is consistently overbooked creating a very slow place of play. Have yet to play 18 in under 6 hours at this course.

Greens in excellent condition
Fairways and roughs in good condition, maybe due to the recent rains and the fertilization of the greens. Sand traps were hard packed. Greens rolled true, were medium speed, and held most approach shots. The course condition was the best it has been this season.
