MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Great coarse but they let it go
Great course design and used to be a wonderful course. Now it’s dilapidated. The course has lots of weeds Lots of eroded areas.
The greens were the best that they have been in years, the fairways not so much. It was almost hard to tell where the fairways and rough started and ended. With the rainy season starting up and the lack of grass in the fairways erosion is going to be an issue and already was on several holes. The greens had been punched but not top dressed with sand so putting was a little uneven but manageable. I guess that's why the rate at 11 am was so low
The Sandlot
Such a solid chunk of land to put some tee ball fields in; but definitely not for golfers. Maybe some developers will buy it up and place more unnecessary and overpriced condos on it
Terrible course conditions, terrible equipment
This is the first and last time I'll ever play Metrowest. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were atrocious. We had two golf carts die on us during our round and it took forever to get replacements. There was no ranger and the pace of play was ridiculous. It took over 5 hours to play one round. Never again, no way.
MetroWest Orlando Florida
Coarse was decent. Had just been aerated, which I was informed of when booking. Holes are not clearly marked but the starter gave us the breakdown before we teed off. Overall a nice property,
Course condition
I have been playing this course for over year now and have never had this bad an experience.
The fairway on the first hole was torn up. I'm sure it was for course maintenance but was still playable.
Too much sand on all the greens making it impossible to put straight shots. Even 2 and 3 ft puts would veer off due to the sand. Not a pleasant experience.
Course closed mid day
Nobody notified me they had closed 2 hours earlier due to a power outage.
Potential is evident....
The last time I played here it was probably two or so years ago and the course was in rough shape. Since then I had heard it was coming back and I agree that since I last played, the greens are in much better condition. The tee boxes still need work but my biggest issue was with the fairways. They desperately need work. The course has definite potential to be very good if they can get their fairways in better shape. I'll go back but it's not a bargain yet at almost $50 for a Monday round of golf. There are still better courses for less money not far from there.
Two different carts broke down. Had people giving lessons in the middle of the day on the course taking 20 minutes to finish the hole.
Great Rate
The tea boxes were under repair much of the fairways were under repair. The sand trap bunkers, and green were excellent..
Course is getting better
The greens are awesome some areas in the fairway have no grass so you hitting from dirt. But is a fun course to play.
Just being Honest
Loved the layout. Greens were great. Fairways with no grass unacceptably. 10th hole the worst. Most shoes I wanted to be in the rough. At least I had a little grass underneath my ball.
Needs rain
Great layout, fantastic greens but the rest of the course needs some rain.
The greens are nice but fairways need some work. Worth about $30 -40 to play in its current state.
