MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Metro West GC a good course to play
Nice layout. Greens were good. Friendly staff and pace of play was super as the course seemed full. I will play again.
Course Issues
Weeds on some greens. Senior tees (or no senior tees) are way out of usual lengths. Makes course extremely long for seniors. Ranger was very friendly but no other true amenities available. Pace was average because both my wife and I had to tee off from extremely lengthy holes.
Much better condition since new management took over. Greens and tee boxes really good. Bunkers all being redone. Fairways patchy in spots. Much improved and worth playing. Great progress on brinkng course back to top condition.
Fun to play
The course had forgiving fairways, wide enough for the average golfer. Greens were very nice shape. Overall the course could use some attention with fairway grass and amenities but great staff. Made for enjoyable game.
Improving
Played this course a number of years ago and it was awful. Seems like they are putting some money into the coure.new bunkers just put in and greens where in good shape
Overpriced Course
I was disappointed about this course. 69$ per Player doesn’t justify what you get. No signs on the holes, no
water, no trash container. The course itself is good to play, it to difficult.
Very friendly stuff at the bag drop off, especially young Connor is great. Also the starter was funny.
Still, for 69$, you find better places
Too early to invite players back
Saw Facebook message “come back and try”. It has improved but after paying and hitting tee shot off first starter announces all bunkers out of play! “To allow grass to grow” Parts of green still poor but used to follow pin position 2. But pin positions not available in buggy and starters does not have them!. Fairways OK, restaurant not open, so too early to invite people back to try
Recovering nicely
Greens were in excellent shape. Fairways are recovering nicely but still patchy on some holes. Compliments to ownership and staff for the hard work bring this course back into good shape. Dry weather has been hard on all courses in this area at this point in time
Coming back
I’ve played Metro West over the years and it’s finally getting back to the Course I remember. Greens are in better than good shape and the bunkers are nearly there. Great to see!
The best greens ever!
We played Metrowest on Monday and it was so fun we played it again on Friday. The greens were in the best shape of any course I have seen in over 25 years of playing. Overall, the course was in very good shape and the fairways were wide open, which we needed as these were our first rounds after a New Hampshire winter. And water came into play on only a couple holes, which we also appreciated.
For some reason, the driving range was closed at noon. We had tee times just after 2:00 when the rates dropped to their lowest, but were ready to head out by 1:30 and they had no problem with us going early. There is no drinking water on the course and no beverage cart during our first round. Thankfully our beverage bags were full of adult beverages, which no one paid any attention to. I would highly recommend this course if you’re looking for something that’s not too challenging.
A good day on the course
Greens were very good. Tee boxes and fairways only fair, not great. Bunkers were filled with new sand but hardly a rake to be seen so deep footprints everywhere. A little overpriced but an overall good experience.
Fantastic Greens
Greens are fantastic! Bunkers are new being revamped and will be great. Give this course some time and it will be close to what it used to be. Tee to green is average.
